"Why you think I'm always quiet"

I made a face at Kyran, about to get out of his bed but stopped while he looked at his phone

"You know daddy got shot before"

"Yeah" he said with a quick chuckle while texting

"And you never told me"

"Nope"

"Kyran were twins"

"And?"

"You supposed to tell me everything!"

"Who the hell told you that?" He asked as he finally looked up

"Me"

"So you don't believe yo daddy was a drug dealer but you believe he got shot?"

I grabbed a pillow, hit him and got out of the bed, leaving his room. I headed downstairs and into the living room where my parents were and of course they were laid up on the chair watching tv

"Daddy" I called out and he looked over at me while my momma sucked her teeth

"Oh hell" she muttered as I went and laid across the both of them

"Was it crack?" I asked and the both of them looked at me some kinda way

"What?" He asked

"Did you sell crack? Perks? Meth? Or just regular weed?"

"What the hell kinsley?" He laughed and I frowned

"I'm serious! I didn't wanna believe it when I heard.. but now I'm convinced you really were secretly a drug dealer"

"Kinsley it wasn't a secret"

"Well how come I never knew?"

"Nobody just told you"

"Yet Kyran knows everything obviously"

"Kinsley you damn near was depressed that time ya daddy caught the flu cause you though he was gonna die. If you can't take him catching the flu then you don't need to hear that man's life story.. trust me" my momma said while I twisted up my lip

"If Kyran your favorite then just say that"

"Ma! My braid just slipped out!" McKenna whined as she walked into the living room. My daddy chuckled while rubbing his forehead and my momma sighed as Kenna handed her the braid

"Ken what am I supposed to do with this?"

"Put it back in"

"Her name is not Ken. Stop tryina be like me"

"You the last person I wanna be like" Kenna replied to me

"When has anybody EVER called you ken, McKenna?"

"Why does it matter to you? You'll be gone next year and I'll be the only child. Something you've NEVER been"

"And I'll be in London. Someplace you'll NEVER go. So try to keep up brokie"

"Oh you got into that school?" My momma asked

"Ion know yet but I'm manifesting it"

"I'm manifesting too so you can get outta here" Kenna muttered while my daddy shook his head

"You better manifest yo ass right in the United States"

"Come on daddy. I've been in love with that school for years"

"And I've been in love with the thought of not having my 18 year old daughter in another country to go to school when I can barely trust what she doing at the school she at now. And it ain even a hour away.. and you talkin bout overseas.. hell nah" again, he shook his head
