Hence she turned to face him now with eyes burning in brutal flames. "Stay away from me, Lucas!! You don't even know what the fuck is going on!!"

The guy froze, most of them did. She wasn't wrong, but saying that was completely unnecessary. Everyone knew the redhead had anger issues, but barely a few of them had seen it in real action. Now no one dared to step between the siblings.

Taeyong on the other hand stood still, waiting for her fires to die down before he only put more fuel to them instead. Somehow, he also felt like she was right with whatever she said. He shouldn't have thought that getting rid of a threat that Soji made such a big deal of could be that easy.

The girl gripped the collar of his shirt tightly. Tears swimming in her eyes both in anger and fear. "How the fuck did you take care of it, Taeyong..?" She voiced lowly through her teeth.

"If you'd be nice enough to let me go, maybe I will tell you." He answered as lowly, gently wrapping his hands around hers and lowering them down. Jina stepped back, realizing the state she was in and she slowly sat down on the stairs instead. Chewing on her thumb nail and giving her best to not stand up and start to break everything in the house to release her anger.

Taeyong sighed as he glanced at her, before he faced everyone else around him in the hall. He was about to ask Jaemin and Mark to follow Soji, but the second he opened his mouth, Yuta filled in the sentence for him. "They already left."

He wasn't expecting less. The leader nodded before moving on to his next thought. "Chenle, Doyoung, Kun– locate Jaehyun's car. Jaehyun, it's your car, go with them! Send Mark the location right away!" He recieved swift nods from the said men before they walked up the stairs past Jina's trembling spaced out body. "You three—" He pointed at Haechan, Renjun and Jeno. "Tell me exactly what she was like today at school, you're in the same class as her."

The three looked at each other, sharing pretty concerned gazes, going all the way to the leader's office room as he commanded.

Kneeled in front of his sulking sister, Taeyong once again couldn't prevent a long sigh through his nose. "It was a private, number." He started referring to her question from earlier. He did indeed try to take care of it, except he couldn't find a way. "He had called her only once. One month ago, exactly the day before she disappeared. No further messages or calls."

Jina shook her head. "She couldn't have been so badly threatened just with one single call, Taeyong."

"Exactly. There must have been another way he contacted her. That's why we tried asking her for days, but as you're aware, her lips were sealed." He informed her, observing as she processed the informations, but stubbornly nothing made sense for her.

"Did you at least track the number?"

Taeyong shook his head. "It was impossible for some reason. Doyoung and Kun were still trying even this morning."

"How did you contact him then..?"

Taeyong paused. His head lowered and eyes focused on the dark wooden floor for a moment. "That's the point." Then he returned his gaze on his sister again. Knowing how badly he was disappointing her with the whole failure to properly protect her best friend. Although he really didn't have another option to follow to try bring things to normal.

"I didn't. I just needed Soji to believe I had taken care of him, so she could chill out a little. She was either safe at home with all of us or at school between all of those people and Haechan, Jaemin, Jeno and Renjun constantly with her."
