"Hi." I grabbed Isabella's arms which made her flinch.

"Chill, lady. What the heck is your problem?"

"Ginulat mo'ko, e. Bigla kang nang-hahablot." Napailing na lang ako sa sagot niya.

"If I get married to you, kailangan bang tabi tayong matulog? Ayos lang ba kung sa sahig ako? Mag-lalatag na lang ako ng banig sa sahig," she suggested. Is that even possible for a husband and wife?

"What's banig?" I asked back.

"Ah, wala ba kayong banig? Kahit sa mismong sahig na lang..."

"Whatever that is, you won't need it. I'll have them prepare your own room. We don't love each other and we never will, we don't need to sleep in one room like a real husband and wife," I stated with bitterness.

After a long silence, she spoke. "Will my family be able to pay our debts? Will my family be well off if I marry you?"

I wanted to be there for her in every step of the way.

"I've paid to one of your family's debtor. Gaano ba karami ang utang niyo?" I chuckled because of awkwardness. I'm still furious about that. Gumastos ako para sa bulaklak, then I'll see her with someone else right in front of me? How disrespectful, huh.

Honestly, wala namang problema sa'kin kung mahirap sila, I regretted stating that dahil baka isipin niyang hinuhusgahan ko siya. "Yeah. If you marry me, we'll take care of everything you need, even your family's needs."

"Look, I don't want to marry someone like you, I'm only obliged to do so. Huwag ka na mag-inarte." I clarified because I felt disrespected because of her actions.

"It's not like I also want to marry you. Matapobre," tumaas ang kilay niya.

"Okay, then. What are your plans?" pang-hahamon ko.

She released a deep and tired sigh. "I'll marry you."

THE NEXT DAY, I went to Isabella's house because after the breaking news of me marrying her, a flock of reporters were always searching for us. I decided to save her, somehow.

"Bakit ako nandito..." kabadong saad niya nang makitang nasa loob na siya ng limousine.

"We knew there would be a flock of reporters, so I came to fetch you," I stated without looking at her, I was busy reading some papers.
