"I think she's waking up." a familiar voice said. Wanda.
My eyes slowly adjusted to my surroundings. Leaning over me was Wanda and Clint. "Hi Nadine, how are you feeling?" Wanda gently asked, "I feel like I've had the longest sleep ever." I muttered.
Wanda looked at Clint then back at me, "You've been in a coma for a year Nadine."

I lay there in silence processing what Wanda had told me.
"What happened?" I stuttered
"Ultron messed you up bad kid." Clint responded.

"Wait, where is Pietro?" I questioned,
Clint looked uncomfortable.
He burst out into a coughing fit.
"Sorry about that, I have a sore throat, he's just getting a coffee, not like he needs any more energy." Clint joked.

"So none of you thought to inform him that his favourite sister had woken up?" I wheezed, my voice breaking.
"Hey!! Well I had to make sure you were okay first." Wanda said pretending to be annoyed.

Pietro zoomed in holding a coffee, "Hey what did I miss, oh my god!! Nadine!! Your awake! How was the sleep?" He smiled.

I scrunched my nose at him annoyed, "It was actually nice not to listen to your sarcastic comments daily."
"Do you know you snore really loudly, because everyone in the compound now knows, everyday we had to listen to you, 24/7." Pietro joked.

"What do you mean the compound, where are we?" I asked
"Stark moved us all from the tower to this big avengers base." Wanda informed me.
"Why aren't we in Sokovia?"
"Ultron destroyed everything."
My heart sank.

"and the families?" I questioned.
"The aircraft which you helped civilians to board got back safely, however some people didn't make it." Wanda spoke with sympathy.

My chest felt hollow and tears welled in eyes. I felt terrible, I could have been there and done something.

"It's all my fault, if I wasn't so reckless..." I began to speak but Clint cut me off.
"Nothing could have changed what happened whether you had been there or not, we all did the best we could." He attempted to reassured me but I still felt like I had made a big mistake.
