Today did not start on a good day for Leila. For the first time she woke up late, although not by much, everyone knew that every minute counted in the corporate world. She hurried herself to take her shower and dressed quickly to catch a cab. Although Leila owned a car, she never used it. No one ever used a car in New York; it would only tardy her even more.

The cab dropped her at her favorite Starbucks that was right around the corner from her work building, she looked at her watch quickly. Just enough time to get breakfast she thought and dashed inside the shop. Thankfully, the young blond woman, Rosa had already prepared her order and moved it to the side for her. It payed to be a regular! She thought to herself as she thanked Rosa and started to dash out of the Starbucks. But no such luck as she collideed with the handsome dark haired and baby blue eyed men that sported a mean scowl. Oops!

As Nathaniel entered the Starbucks, he clashed with the olive brown skin colored female; her eyes some shade of hazel, her hair dark long and silky, and her face full of sorry. What the hell was wrong with her? He had first thought, but when her eyes met his, as she said  sorry and tried vigorosly  to remove the coffee from his shirt, he felt every muscle of his body come alive, leaving him wondering; what the hell is wrong with him? She sported a light gray feminine suit, her skirt just above her knees and her black pumps complementing her gorgeous long legs. “I’m such a klutz, I am so sorry. Please let me buy you a new shirt” she said nervously with those beautiful puppy hazel eyes.

“That won’t be necessary” Nathaniel manages to say “I’m fine”

“Thank goodness the coffee wasn’t hot” she jokes nervously.

“”Well, you should get your money back” he simply answered and started to walk away from her and exiting the shop. He couldn’t have taken more than five steps away from the store until he hear her voice calling after him.

“Wait!” she yelled as she ran over to him in these sexy black heels. What the hell was he thinking? Maybe he should wash his brain with soap maybe that will teach him to stop thinking those thoughts. That had never before happened to him, why now? And why had he stopped to wait and hear what she had to say?

“Listen” she began “My building is right around the corner and it’s a magazine, I’m sure we can find you a nice shirt” she tells him her eyes hopeful.

“I’m fine really” he tells her but she refused and shook her head

“I feel so extremely terrible, just come” she says to him with a smile, touching his arm in an assuring gesture.

“I...”

“C’mon” she said taking Nathaniel by the hand, but he didn’t feel disgust, no that was nowhere near what he felt. He felt electricity fly from his hand; down onto his feet and shoot up to his brain; what the fuck is wrong with him! He yelled internally to himself.

Leila nervously accompanied the beautiful stranger to her building. They entered without a word; he sure was talkative Leila thought to herself as she pressed the button of the elevator to her floor. The ride felt extremely prolonged compared to the numerous ones that she had previously taken to go to her floor. When they finally arrive on the twentieth floor, Leila let out a great sigh, thank god, she didn’t want to be alone with such a beautiful man. “This is my floor” she told him as they step out of the elevator. “Follow me” she walked to the double-doors and tap her card on the security scanner and the doors opened. She lead him to her small but quaint office decorated by plants; she found that thye brought a natural peace to her.
