[On Hold] Why was I reincarnated as a ghost?!

Part 12 : Quest Complete

"Well whatever, let's get going."

We traverse the vast rough land in search of Celka turtle but all we could see was stone, stone, more stone and some green. Both of us, spotted many lizards, birds and the like but no turtles

"Philrei, have you found anything?"

"No, nothing over here as far as I can tell."

"Wait a minute, we're trying to find a stone turtle in a plain made of stone... no wonder we haven't found anything yet!" I realized

"Oh, Celka turtles do typically have shells that look like jagged rocks. Hehe, I guess that means we just have to look at every rock."

"How many do we need to find again?" I asked him as Philrei then rummaged his bag for the request flyer

"Mm, it says that we have to get 4 shells and leather."

" !! , I just got an idea" I exclaimed

"What is it?"

"I could shoot ice magic indiscriminately hoping it hits one of these turtles so it reacts and move hopefully which would make searching for them a lot easier. How does that sound?"

"Seems worth a try. I'll hide first though."

So Philrei hides behind a rock and I prepare loads of icicles pointing in different directions. The magic is fired and bombards the stone landscape with shards of ice

The icicles shatter into small shards of ice before disappearing into the snow. Many boulders and stone were hit with rain of icicles but there was no reaction

The rocks shifted but no visible movement or any sign of a monster could be seen

Philrei steps out from behind his hiding place as the boulder suddenly quivers and rises. Revealing a short jagged tail, large stumpy feet and a wide, bulky head with a sharp beak and intimidating glare

Another Celka turtle, rises up to my right. Looking around with clattering jaws to find whoever had disturbed it, which would be me

Philrei quickly back away from the monster as it notices him. A course, deep roar bursted out off the turtle's maw staring down towards Philrei. Slowly it marched towards him. 

To my right the turtle did the exact same thing and started marching towards me as well.

'...isn't this a bit too slow?' I thought

The turtles were moving too slow for me. To be fair they are turtle so...

"Um, Philrei, should you really be worried about this. They're going so slow, I don't think they'll be able to touch us."

"...hmm, yeah I think so too. Although, they're slow, they sure look intimidating." he commented

"How should we deal with these guys then?"

"I guess use you ice magic as we planned to flip them over and go from there."

I casted ice magic underneath the turtles and a pillar of ice rose out of the group and flipped them on to their sides. 

Philrei walks up to the incapacitated turtle in front of him and unsheathes his sword from his hip.  Thrusting his sword straight at the belly of it. The blade struggles to pierce deeper into the hide of the turtle. He pulled the sword out and started to thrusted his blade again and again. I watched as he pulled the sword before inserting it back into turtle, clearly using strength as each motion got slower bit by bit

"Akane, you gonna help?"

"Oh right sorry" I hurried over towards Philrei and started attacking with him
