whirl of a day: tsunami

The cool breeze rushed into my face as I started to fly off to the kingdom of the sea my wings pumping me further by just the thought of seeing Riptide again it has been so long since we had seen each other last a vague image of his nervous smile and his laugh imprinted in my mind filling me with an urge so powerful I felt like I could of flown across the world and back from just a simple thought of him and before I know it I'm at the place we agreed on meeting at I landed, but no Riptide where was he? "He should be here soon I can't panic yet" I mumbled to myself then a voice that sounded smoother then the water at the underground lake at the academy, softer then silk, sweeter then sweet, Riptides voice, and as soon as he landed I was embraceing him "I missed you'' I said digging my snout into his neck Riptide gently embraced me back "I didn't know you felt that way" as if put out of a waking up I hesitantly pulled away and tackled Riptide into the ocean laughing the whole time but when I finely pinned him down my heartrate picked up thudding loudly then our eyes locked, his talons cleaning the sand off of my face my talons on his chest feeling his heart pick up. In pace but still in rythem to mine we started leaning in to each other ours snouts almost touching "we shouldn't tsuna-" I cut Riptide off by forcing our snouts together my pulse quickening, an unexplainable feeling whirling through me but then Riptide shoved me off him "tsunami we can't do this you have a school to run and I have to run talons of peace we can't do this I'm sorry" I bit back tears feeling like the lowest sea slug in the sea "I should go" Riptide said looking worried but before tsunami could say anything he had taken off and flown away and all I could think was what a whirl of a day
