A Decision of a Lifetime

(A/N: Day 11 of our 12 Days of Christmas updates

I was originally gonna make Shiori stay in the village, however, the majority of you prefer her leaving with Sasuke. I based my decision on the comments you guys left on previous chapters😊)

Shiori's Pov
Tears starts falling from my eyes. It hurts for many reasons, but I already made a decision the moment those sound ninjas made the offer

'It really is a tempting offer'

"What are you saying? I told you didn't I? I would go anywhere you go, and I would do anything for you. I promised, didn't I? My status means nothing if it means being away from you. And even if I did say I want to stay here and wait for you, you should do everything you can to make me go with you, steal me away!" I cry

"Shiori" Sasuke says in whisper, eyes widened

I smile through my tears

"I'd give up anything for you" I say

I look up at the night sky

"And besides, I want power too, I want to prove myself. I want to show the main branch family members that a simple side branch member of the clan such as myself could take them down. They put us through more than they know, I want revenge. I want mother and father to be proud of me" I say seriously

"I know you're thinking about how my family would feel about this. I know they'd be really mad at us. I sometimes feel pressured by their expectations, but I still love them. I want to believe that they love us enough to accept our decision and continue on loving us. And as time passes, I know they'll understand and come to terms with our decision" I smile

Sasuke hugs me. I hug him back

"Thank you, Shiori" Sasuke says in relief

Another reason that pushed me to making a quick decision is of course, my new found hatred of Sakura

'I'm superior to her, yet she insist on climbing the ladder to try to match up to me. I'll be a million times more powerful than her that she won't stand a chance  and she  wouldn't even try to get in my way ever again. She'd be foolish to try. I'll show her where she belongs, I'll put her in her place'

-TIMESKIP-
Sasuke and I return to his place. We decided to write letter for my parents and my siblings. In our letters we write our apologies, our reasons, thank you(s), and I love you(s). In the letters we ask them to keep this a secret and we ask them to understand and forgive us someday. As we write our letters, tears are falling down our cheeks

"I'm done writing my letters Sasuke" I tell him

"Yeah me too" he says

We wipe our tears as we put them in envelopes

"I'll wait for you here" Sasuke says

I nod

We decided that I should go back to my house in the Hyuga Clan Compound alone to pack my bags while Sasuke waits for me here as he packs his bags, to avoid unnecessary attention in the middle of the night

I quietly come home. I walk through the front door, in the living room I find father, brother, and sister on the couch, talking about their missions. Mother and my younger brother is at the living room table, doing homework

"Shiori, why are you late? It's way pass your curfew" father asks in a strict tone

"My apologies father" I bow

"We understand that you're with Sasuke but you have got to tell us if you're gonna be late" mother says

"Yes. That was my mistake" I say
