"Oh did she?" Tyler muttered as he stood up.

He walked towards the stairs, Elliot followed cheerfully.

Tyler approached Allie's room door, then knocked.

"Allie. Open the door now."

Allie let put a groaned, then stood up.
She walked to her door and opened it.

"Can you explain this?!" Tyler shouts as he pushed Elliot forward holding a huge knife.
"Nope." Allie replied.
"But you said-"

"shut up, Elliot." Allie cuts him off.

"I didn't do anything wrong. All I said is that 'knives are cool' I didn't say go get one" Allie admits. Tyler sighed as he took the knife off Elliot and walked back to the kitchen to place it back in its spot.

Allie and Elliot both death stared each other.
"I see what you're trying to do, you brat. It's not going to work." She tells her little brother.
Elliot smiled.

"Maybe it will!" He shouted, before prancing away.

Allie slowly opened the door to Steven's room.
He turned to her.

"Hello sweetheart...." Steven says.

"Hello..." Allie closed the door.
"Elliot has been annoying me." She got straight to the point.
"I know, he's been bugging everyone lately." Steven shook his head.
"It's because of your mother." He added.

"I know. Mum isn't very good with his behaviour, instead...In a way, it kinda feels like she's encouraging it." Allie explained.
"I get exactly what you mean." Steven looked down at the floor.
He sighed.

"We have a lot in common, dad. You don't even realise. I'll always be closest with you than anyone else in this house." Allie held her hands behind her back.
Steven smiled.
"I know, that's why you're my favourite." He whispered the last part.

Allie's face lit up.
"So, I am the favourite?! Really?!" She got excited.
"Of course." Steven stood up, he walked over to his daughter.
He then picked her up and hugged her.

"I love you, you are and always will be the best dad ever.." Allie hugged him back.
Steven nodded.

Allie was sitting in her room, listening to her parents argue down stairs.

Neither of them were fit to be parents

Though, Her father was still much better than her mother, Allie would always be by his side.

-

After a few minutes it went quiet downstairs, then she heard a door slam.

Still quiet.

She listened in, hearing her little brother attempt to talk to their mother, a slap sound following.

Allie rolled her eyes and sat up on her bed.

After a few minutes Elliot came in her room.
