"Are you sure you don't want to take anyone with you?" Yoongi asked as he closed the door behind. He buckled himself up as he turned on the vehicle.

Jimin shook his head no and kept his eyes out the window. Focusing on the beautiful lawn and white roses.

The tears flooded him nonstop. The goodbye with Taehyung had been so heartbreaking. Not because he was saying goodbye to Taehyung, but because that meant he'd leave Yoongi behind. His tears were constantly falling from his eyes despite keeping it quiet.

If Jimin were to cry his lungs away Taehyung might've found it suspicious. Either way, not even a river of tears would make him extend the contract.

His mind was set on the idea of not doing it. Jimin had held so much hope even up until today. Maybe he'd change his mind and let him stay another year.

In the end, that didn't happen. So now he was on the way to Taehyung's private airport. If he wanted to he could scream and cry since they were alone in the car now.

But what use would that do?

It wouldn't change a thing. He'd still have to leave to a selected island of his choice and live the rest of his life without Yoongi.

Yoongi would be a slave to his job for the remainder of his life. That was a hard pill to swallow.

"Not even your mom?" Yoongi asked as he began driving away. The lump in his throat would come and go. He had to wait several minutes to ask the question.

At times, he had to stop himself from speaking or his voice would break. Of course his heart was destroyed at having to say goodbye. But if he was to break down in front of Jimin it would make it harder for him.

"No. You know my situation with her." He mumbled quietly.

"I know. Well, at least you will still get to call her. You'll have plenty of stuff to do there I'm sure. You're allowed to travel to another island as long as you uhh...call the number saved on your new phone."

Jimin turned to look at him. He could tell that Yoongi was seeing him from the corner of his eye. "Who's that phone number?" He wondered.

The tears had started to dry on his cheeks making his skin feel tight. Yoongi cleared his throat before answering.

"Me."

Jimin held his breath briefly. Knowing that he could call Yoongi whenever he wanted was both a blessing and a curse. Would Taehyung be monitoring the phone calls even though he's not suppose to know the location?

Would Jimin really call him knowing how hard it was to not see his face? It was suddenly so overwhelming to have his number saved to this new phone right at the palm of his hand.

"You?" He breathed out heavily.

"Yes. I'm the only one that has access to your information."

"How am I suppose to not call you? You know, if I ever do call it won't be because I want to go on another island or some bullshit like that. I just want you."

Yoongi sighed, reaching over to hold his hand. He squeezed his hand lightly to give him emotional support.

"I wish it was that easy."

"I know."

The rest of the ride was silent aside from Jimin's soft weeping here and there. At times it was hard to hold on the sobs. Yoongi knew the way to the private airport by heart so as they got closer his heart sank further.

Jimin was completely unaware of where they headed, but he could feel the tension thicken. That's how he knew they were close.

Suddenly, Yoongi pulled over to the side of the road. It was a lonely highway and trees were everywhere. Jimin looked around him confused.

His heart was beating loudly and uncontrollably. He was wondering at what point the pilot would show up with a huge jet. Or when the trees would split open and reveal the secret airport. It all sounded irrational, but with Taehyung's kind of power it wasn't that delusional.

"We're not there yet," Yoongi murmured. "I just—I needed to talk to you before...before you leave."

Jimin took a deep breath and swallowed the lump in his throat. "Okay. What exactly?" He whispered anxiously.

"I understand that what we're going through is not easy. I know you've experienced heartbreak in brutal ways. I just want you to know that you will get through this. This too will pass. You will heal from our goodbye and you will continue to live. It's going to be okay one day. It might take months or even years, but you will overcome this. You're strong and determined and—"

"Don't do this," Jimin quietly interrupted. "Don't do the we-almost-had-something talk. I know it's going to be painful and that I can get through it, but do you understand that I strongly believe that you're the love of my life? I thought—I always thought that Yuta was my soulmate and...and even until now he holds a place in my heart that no one will ever replace. But now you...you feel like my soulmate. Like my other half and I don't want to say goodbye. Not to you too."

Yoongi reached over and held his face in his hands. Jimin slowly processed the touch of his rough hands. He'd miss this for sure. He'd miss his cold, working hands wrapping him up like he was made of glass.

"Jimin, do you want to know something?"

"I don't really want to hear any more sad encouraging talks." He mumbled, closing his eyes and resting his forehead on his. He breathed in his familiar homey scent.

It was peaceful. It was a smell Jimin wished he could make it into a candle for him to take. A scent that only he would have access to and wouldn't share with anyone else.

"It's not that I promise."

"Then what?"

"Do you know we live many lives within our own lives?"

Jimin opened his eyes furrowing his eyebrows confused. If he was trying to distract him from the inevitable event that was on its way, it was working.

"What do you mean?"

"I believe that we as humans can have more than one love of our lives. Sometimes, our paths cross with multiple people therefore starting new lives along the way. For example, your love story with Yuta was a life that you lived within your own. When it ended, that life did too. Then we met and that was a new beginning."

As he finished speaking he leaned closer to him and pressed his lips against his. Jimin's breath hitched at full speed and it felt like his world froze in a matter of a second. His lips slowly began moving against his gently and delicately.

"Jimin, just because our life together is ending doesn't mean a new one can't begin."
