The way he had said it held the authority of a seasoned military general that wasn’t about to take his lower down’s bullshit. It almost made Tommy want to tell him everything, almost, but for his safety and Alexa’s, he wasn’t going to. Instead he opted to press his lips into a thin line and avert his gaze, trying to think of something that would be convincing enough to throw him off.

“I um… I got mugged last night. I didn’t have anything on me, so they beat me up for that, but otherwise I’m completely fine.” He wasn’t entirely lying, he had indeed been at a mugging last night. But he wasn’t the one getting mugged, he was the one that stopped the mugging. Siren seemed to consider his answer, turning it over in his head as if to try and find any lies or something he was hiding. But from how his look seemed to soften slightly as his wings fell into a relaxed position, he guessed he believed him, or at the very least the answer seemed to satisfy him. But he did squint and look him over a few times before a small, sympathetic smile crossed his face.

“See? Now doesn't telling the truth feel better than lying to all your concerned coworkers and your employer?” Now, that may not have been such a bad sentence, it seems pretty normal when it’s written down. But with how the smile on his face turned into a smug grin and the tone of his voice changing to something mocking, as if he was speaking to a small child, or a toddler more like.

“You bitch-”

“Hey now, that is no way to talk to your boss.” He said in a mocking tone, smirking as he watched Tommy stumbled over his words, wanting to say something against this but being unable to. It took a moment, but when Tommy had finally come to grips with the fact that Siren had him, he simply sighed, a spark in his eyes as he finally figured out a way to get the attention off him. A smirk flickered across his face for a spilt second, barely just a twitch of lips as he looked up at Siren with a thoughtful expression.

“It kinda does actually. But I’m not really the one you should be grilling about injuries to,” He started, a tiny voice in the back of his head telling him that Alexa was going to be pissed about this later once she found out. “If anything, you should be scolding Alex; she has worse bruises, not too much worse, but worse than a simple black eye.”

“Oh, I know, Sam was on his way to talk to her the last I saw him.”

Oh. Alright then, that plan backfired. Well, I guess it’s time for him to go to the infirmary.

I wonder how Alexa is doing with Sam on her case..?

Alexa, admittedly, wanted to listen to Clementine almost immediately after she expressed her concerns about their injuries. But she didn’t have a good excuse for how she got them in the first place. So she just went about her shift for the day. Well, she was going about her daily tasks of: cleaning and repairing weapons, repairing any gear that Heroes brought down that might be broken or might just need a slight upgrade to its systems, even being allowed free time to tinker when there wasn’t anyone coming down for help after a certain period of time.

Which is what she had been doing before Time Scape came over to her, looked her dead in the eyes and said-

“What happened last night that you came into work all beat up and bruised like you got into a fight?” He deadpanned, an unreadable glint in his eyes, but a serious look to his face.
