Miraculous Evergarden (Violet Evergarden/Miraculous)

Marinette was confused by her newest classmate. Violet Evergarden had an unnatural beauty, even without a smidge of makeup on her pale face. Violet introducing herself with a salute only made Marinette more curious, especially with how proper the actual salute was. She had seen Papa do it plenty of times, enough to know if one's form was drilled in from experience, or a casual salute done by someone who had never done it before. 

Violet had done it perfectly, with a mechanical precision, her arm bent at just the right angle. Marinette felt Tikki poke her through the purse. However, the most striking aspect of Violet wasn't her accent, beauty or outfit which complimented her figure. 

It was her eyes. A bright blue that stared at the class with a dull expression, no doubt analyzing each of Marinette's classmates for weaknesses. Marinette had seen eyes like hers only once before.

Violet's eyes reminded Marinette of her Papa. But how? Papa had served with the Légion Étrangère up until Operation Septentrion, being wounded and sent back home with a medal for his efforts. Papa never spoke of his time there, his eyes glazing over whenever Marinette asked a question. Why did Violet's eyes remind Marinette of her Papa? 

Alya elbowed Marinette in the ribs. "Stop staring. She kinda looks like a mixture of Chloe and Adrian if you think about it." Alya whispered. Marinette narrowed her eyes and nodded. They only had blonde hair in common, but she did have blue eyes like Chloe and Violet's hair was a couple shades lighter. Violet's features didn't exactly scream French though, perhaps she was German or from Scandinavia? 

"Are you from the Evergarden family that's related to the Bougainvillea's?" Chloe blurted out, shocking her fellow classmates. Did Chloe know her? Hopefully Violet wasn't another Chloe or Lila. Those two already caused Marinette a lot of trouble with the amount of akumas they create. Noticing her classmates' stares, Chloe scowled. "Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous! How do any of you not know the Evergarden or the Bougainvillea family!?"

Adrien slowly raised his hand. "I know Father has done some business with them." He was promptly ignored by Chloe. 

"They're one of the richest families in all of France. The Bougainvillea's are the descendants of nobility!" Of course Chloe would know that. Did she forget that they beheaded nobles? Marinette couldn't stop herself from giggling. 

Violet's expressionless face didn't reveal anything, and after a moment, nodded slowly. "I am legally Mrs. Tiffany Evergarden's daughter." Mrs and not Mlle? She was definitely not a natural French speaker then. 

"Any questions you have for Violet can be saved for later as we still have class today." Mlle. Bustier said, her smile never leaving her face. She turned to Violet. "You can have a seat in the back next to Nathanial. Would that be ok with you?" 

Chloe slammed her hands on the table. "No! She's sitting next to me as befitting her social background! Finally someone who is on my level in this, besides Adrikins, unlike you mongrels." 

"Hey!" Kim shouted. Adrien sighed and shook his head. 

"You need to be nicer to people, Chloe." Adrian was so smart and nice. Marinette bit the inside of her cheek to stop herself from smiling. 

Chloe ignored all of them and glared at Sabrina who was sitting next to her. "Move." The orange haired girl with glasses immediately started gathering her belongings. 

"Thank you for the offer, but there is no need. I do not wish to be an inconvenience to anybody." Violet spoke softly, not a single trace of emotion in her voice. She turned to Mlle. Bustier and M. Damocles. "Thank you." M. Damocles simply smiled in response and left the room without another word. 

With a gloved hand, Violet carried her bag towards the back and sat next to a nervous Nathanial. Marinette smiled as Mlle. Bustier began to teach the class. 

So far she was nothing like Chloe. Now it was time to see if she was like Lila. 

Marinette froze. 

What if they just gained another Kagami? NOOOOO-

Class went by quickly in Violet's opinion. She liked her seat in the back, it allowed her to get a view of the entire classroom should any threats occur. She had already detected four potential threats. The girl with pigtails near the front, as well as the girl sitting beside her. Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Alya Cesaire if Violet's memory was correct, and it usually was. Violet remembered everything after being taken in by the Major. Judging by the way Ms. Dupain-Cheng and Ms. Cesaure sat, they had some form experience in combat. 

Violet's life before joining the military was a bit blurry. The other two threats being Adrien Agreste and Chloe Bourgeois. Violet's research before coming to class said that Mr. Agreste was in the fencing club with some skill. She would complete her analysis once she had more information.  

Chloe Bourgeois was the biggest threat at the moment. She had declared herself to be the 'superhero' Queen Bee to the world, and caused several accidents just to paint herself as a hero. Violet would have to keep a close eye on her. 

"Isn't it hard writing in gloves?" The boy sitting next to Violet asked. Violet stopped writing, and turned her gaze towards him. 

"It is. Thank you for reminding me." Violet held one of her gloves to her mouth, and pulled it off with her teeth, revealing her prosthetic arm. Pulling off her other glove, she placed it on the desk beside her notebook. Flexing her metal fingers to make sure they were functional, Violet grabbed her pen when she felt the gaze of several people. Looking up, Violet noticed the entire class turning to look at her with shocked expressions. Was she too loud? She would have to fix that. 

"I-I'm sorry." Nathanial mumbled as he stared at her hand. "H-How did you-"

"How did I lose my arms?" Violet stared at her left hand, its shiny metal showing her reflection. 

"I lost them during the war in Afghanistan."
