The smell of bacon filled the house and the noise of a little girl filled the ears or a very tired boy.

"What do you want ?" The blonde male lifted one eye to the distraught site of his little sister.

"Mom says breakfast ready and you need to come downstairs " She said walking out of the room.

The taller male arose from his comfort zone and made his way downstairs to see his mother setting the plates on the table.

They weren't very rich but they had enough money to get by. Recently his mother had been de-promoted so there income was decreased but clay took on extra shifts at his part time job to help out with rent.

"Morning Hun breakfasts ready " the soft voice of his mother always cheered him up.

"Thanks mom are you going to work today ?"

"Yes and your sister is going to her friend so you will be home alone is that okay?"

"That's fine " he muttered as he ate the last price of bacon on his plate.

As his mother and sister left the house he ran upstairs to check his phone for any notifications and of course his best friend nick had tried to call him.

Picking up his phone a new call showed up on his phone.

'Incoming call from Nick'

He pressed the answer button and placed it on speaker.

"DUDE have you got the letter? " His voice filled the room .

"Bit of a random way to start a call but okay. No I haven't even checked the mailbox yet." He sighed knowing how stupid his friend could be.

"We'll go check you might have it aswell!"

"Fine what is it anyway ?"

"Just look then I'll tell you "

Clay made his way downstairs and reluctantly walked to the mailbox still holding his friend.

He scanned through the letters as he got in the house and noticed the oddly coloured piece of card.

"Have you got it ?" Nick was beginning to sound impatient.

"Is it a piece of card?" Heating his friend slowly getting agitated he hoped he was right.

"YES does it have shaped on it?" The excitement made it a very strange encounter.

"Yes it's a ..." He scanned through the writing looking at keywords to tell him what it was" Competition?"
