Vida Richter was one of the unlucky ones who lost everything during the war. She lost her home, her family and her sense of peace.
But life wasn't for Vida all gloomy for her continuous time, her encounter with Dr. Erksine was the key to a lifelong safety. Or that is what he said, but the process she was under didn't feel safe, Dr. Erksine always said to her that she had a nice and kind soul, that the test she was put under was for the good of everyone, every needle that was inserted in her veins and the liquid she could feel made the brunette feel stronger each day, her capabilities changed, she changed.
But the Nazi's found what Dr. Erksine was doing, and Vida was ripped away from her safe house, all the pain she felt after that was so much worse, electric shocks had Vida unconscious most of the time, she didn't remember what she did, but whenever she came back, there would be blood on her hands.
Vida Richter was no longer there, Hydra had adopted her with a new name, White Dove. Vida didn't even remember her old name, she trained every day, she killed every week, and with every passing hour, she forgot who she was even deeper than before.
When things started looking right for the Americans, it was their moment to send in their super soldier, unaware of the other creation of Dr. Erksine, just a perfecto match to fight against the one they called Captain America.
But Steve Rogers saw something in the broken one that he had to rescue, knowing very well how much anger Hydra would show.
Vida Richter was now back under studies, just that this time, for her well being, focusing on bringing back the memories of her happy — if she could call it like that — life. Vida was scared, she didn't want to go back, she felt that a trigger was set inside of her and she feared it would come off any time, and she would be responsible for the death of many.
Steve Rogers wouldn't let that happen, the kind heart and would he has, and the goal to reach peace to end this war was mixing with the job of helping the once Hydra fighter.
But Vida didn't want to be controlled by anyone anymore, she needed to escape, hide, disappear even, but for now, she had to remember who she was.
