Cuddling

"Shawn," I called, making grabby hands at my boyfriend.

"I'm coming Y/n," he replied, lifting up the bed cover and slipping in next to me. He opened his arms wide, laying on his side facing towards me and waited until I got myself comfortable in his arms. Once I was all wrapped up, Shawn pulled me slightly closer. In response, I snuggled my head further into the crook or his neck and he let out a sigh.

"I love you Y/n," he told me, playing with my hair softly in his hands. As if to prove it, he planted a gentle kiss on my head, letting his lips linger for a moment before returning back to normal.

"And I love you Shawn," I told him. We lay there for a while in silence. Not an awkward kind but a calming and loving. Our relationship doesn't need words. We read each other like books; figuring out the others moods and emotions from body language and actions. Most of the time we spend together was like that moment- in perfect silence, intertwined together in a close embrace.

Shawn moved over to his back and I adjusted my position with him. Once again, his arm was hung over my body, holding my tight and this time I lay across his chest. I sat there listening to his heartbeat and soon found that I had somehow became even more relaxed than before. I crave the affect Shawn has on me. The way that no matter how I am feeling, I can be certain that he will fix it. He's my glue- holding me together no matter how many times I break. Sometimes- rarely- it will be the other way around and I will be the one cradling him as he sobs quietly into my chest.

"Thank you Shawn," I whispered.

"For what?" He asked.

"For everything," I replied.

And this time it was not our bodies that came together in silence- it was our lips.

AN: I know this is really short but I wanted to try something different and I guess this was the result?

Q- what's your favourite song from Shawn's album????
A- I love them all so much and I am so proud of Shawn! I'm actually so grateful that I like all his songs on there because it's quite rare that somebody likes all the artist's songs! But my favourite is either strings or air x
