"You must be the girl that my sister fought."sabi ni kuya James at tumingin kay Penny na nag-iwas ng tingin."You seemed fine, while my sister's cheeks are a bit red and her posture is a bit weak."

"Excuse me? You're talking about my daughter in front of me! Have some respect!"inis na sabi ng kanyang ina.

"I'm sorry, madam, but your daughter hurt my sister. So I apologized for my irrational mouth, but what she did is unforgivable, especially to my sister."

"Let's take a sit first, Mr. Smith."sabi ng dean dahil nararamdaman niya ang tensyon namin lahat. Umupo kaming lahat at tinignan ang mag-ina ng masama.

"Okay, yesterday, they fought because of a guy."pagsimula ng dean kaya napatingin sila kuya sa akin na nagtataka. The heck?Ano na naman ang iniisip nila?

"Who's the guy?"takang tanong ni kuya James.

"Me."sagot ni Jace kaya napabaling ang atensyon namin sa kanya.

"Wow. You must be a two-timer."ngising sabi ni Kuya James at bigla nalang pumalakpak at tinaasan naman siya ng kilay ni Jace.

"Kuya, wala siyang kinalaman dito."sabi ko kaya napatingin siya sa akin.

"Bakit nag-away kayo?Pareho ba kayong may gusto sa kanya?"takang tanong ni kuya Jackson at tumingin sa akin.

"Of course not!"mabilis kong sabi."She's his ex. Nakita niya kami na nag-usap ni Jace, kaya niya ako sinabunutan."sabi ko at tumingin ng masama kay Penny.

"Ex pala. Are you trying to get back to this guy?"tanong ni kuya Jackson at tinuro si Jace at napaiwas naman ng tingin si Penny.

"Tell me, what's the reason why you two break up?"tanong ni kuya James at tumingin kay Jace.

"Kuya, that's private."I hissed, but he didn't mind me.

"She used me," Jace answered with no hint of emotion in his tone.

"Ang kapal pala ng mukha mo, upang bumalik sa kanya."sabi ni kuya James kay Penny."And what's worse, you dragged my sister about this. For what?To get his attention?"

"Tama na!"sigaw ng ina ni Penny."Don't speak to my daughter that way!"sabi niya at dinuro ang kuya ko.

"How can you educate your daughter if you're being blind to her mistakes? She needs to face the punishment.Not my sister, because she did nothing wrong."ramdam mo talaga sa boses ni kuya na galit siya. I can't blame him though, I am also mad.

"I can sue you all!"sabi niya sa amin lahat pero hindi pa din nagbago ang mga ekspresyon namin. We stayed, emotionless."I withdraw my shares from this school!"

"Are you seriously threatening us?"tanong ni Jace.

"Yes. Got any problem with that?"taas kilay na tanong nito kay Jace. Napailing naman si kuya James at kuya Jackson habang nakangisi.

"Yes, because I am the owner of this school."cold na sabi ni Jace at nagtaasan bigla ang mga balahibo ko."And I tell you, never threaten a Montezalde."

"Bata ka pa. Hindi mo pa nakuha ang kompanya dahil hindi ka pa nakatapos ng pag-aaral. You are just a kid playing with your paper money."Penny's mom smirked and Jace went to her looking intimidating.

"I am not certainly a kid, Ma'am. And even if I'm not yet a graduate, I already own the company. It is already named after me and I can do the hell I want with you and your family. Furthermore, what are the Harpers to the Montezaldes?"Jace's smirk is indeed menacing. He is openly threatening Mrs. Harper right here in this office. My brothers were smirking at him, clearly expecting this to happen. While the dean is just silent, there is a ghost smile from the emotional facade he's putting on. While me? I don't know. I felt the swoon of admiration but I shook it away.

Penny's mother was certainly scared because of how pale her expression was. She gazed away and sighed, trying to compose herself.

"This school is not good for you, Penny. I'm transferring you."sabi ni Mrs. Harper at tumayo at hinila din ang kanyang anak patayo.

"B-but m-mom!"sabi ni Penny pero hindi nakikinig ang kanyang ina at bigla nalang siya hinila paalis sa dean's office. I was about to rejoice, but suddenly kuya James said something that made me stopped.

"Ikaw din, Jewel."

"What?!" Hindi makapaniwala kong Sabi. Bakit ako nadamay dito?

"You're going home."he said with finality. Tahimik lang si kuya Jackson sa gilid, halatang ayaw nito pumasok sa gulo. He's even avoiding my gaze! F*ck you, Kuya!

"But I am home."sabi ko at bumuntong-hininga ito. Clearly, he's starting to get infuriated by me.

"In New York."

"Kuya, please naman!"I begged but he shook his head.

"Akala mo ba hindi ko malaman ang mga gulo na pinasok mo?"galit niyang tanong na napatigil sa akin.

"K-kuya-"

"You promised me, Jewel, that you will not get into trouble. You promised that me you will not get hurt."sabi niya na napatahimik sa akin. Behind the anger that Kuya James is making me see, I see a bit of damage to him. He's worried..for me. Dahil may nangyari nanaman sa akin and he wasn't there to protect me. He's blaming himself.

"Its not her fault."sabi ni Jace kaya napabaling si kuya James sa kanya.

"What?"

"Kung hindi dahil sa akin ay hindi siya makapasok ng gulo."sabi ni Jace at tumingin sa akin."She loves it here. Let her stay."sabi niya at tumingin kay kuya.

"Who are you to order me?"Kuya James said, coldly.

"Trust me. If she goes back to the U.S. she will be depressed." he said making me stop."I'll make sure she doesn't get into fights. I'll protect her." he gazed at me and smiled. I stared at him, trying to find some kind of proof that he was faking it or he was being mean. But it didn't have any of that, instead, it showed me nothing but a genuine smile. Never in a million years did I expect Jace Angelo Montezalde to ever wear that smile and flash it to me. It added something to him that I had never seen him before. Light. He seems at peace.
