CHAPTER 9

"Kuya." sabi ko kaya napatingin ito sa akin.

[Yes?]he asked and I sighed.

"Can I go to the bar?"I asked and his brows furrowed.

[Bar?]

"Yes."

He pursed his lips. [Did you ask them already?]

"N-no, "I said and bit my lips.

[Sure, I'll let you.] I was stunned.

"Sigurado kaba, kuya?"

[Bakit? Ayaw mo?]ngisi niyang tanong.

"Gusto!"

He chuckled at my sudden reply. [Sige na, may trabaho pa ako.]

"Bye," I said and he ended the call.

I wore a white silk dress that has a high slit exposing my legs. I combed my hair so it won't be quite messy. I also wore light makeup. After I was finished, I headed down to see the girls already dressed. Natasha was wearing a black bodycon dress Amber was wearing green with her top form in a sweetheart, and Sapphire was wearing a blue dress that sparkled with glitter.

"Pinayagan ka ba?"ngising tanong ni Amber at nginisihan ko din ito.

"I asked kuya Jaydee and he said 'yes'," I said and proudly smirked.

"Kapag pagalitan ka ni Kuya James at kuya Jk, huwag mo akong isali."sabi niya at umiling.

"Of course."

"Let's take a picture first."sabi ni Sapphire kaya napatingin kami sa kanya.

"Yeah, we should," I said and we grabbed our phones. We take pictures of ourselves and groupies. 

"I'm gonna post this on my Instagram," I said and opened my Instagram and posted it.

"Let's go." sabi ni Amber at tumango kami. 

Pagdating namin sa bar ay pumasok kami sa loob at nagsimulang magparty. Naisipan ng tatlo na magsayaw sa gitna ng dancefloor at isasama sana nila ako pero hindi ako pumayag.

I was just drinking liquor here and eyeing them, making sure that they wouldn't be grabbed by some strangers. While I was drinking, I could feel myself getting tipsy, but I didn't mind.

"Another." sabi ko pero umiling ang bartender.

"Lasing ka na po, ma'am."sabi niya kaya tinignan ko ito ng masama.

"I-I'm not!"inis kong sabi at bumuntong-hininga ito. He was about to fill my cup when some guy stopped him.

"Don't give it to her."sabi niya at tumango naman ang lalaki at tinigil ang paglagay ng liquor.

"Yes, sir."he said and left. Tinignan ko ng hindi makapaniwala ang bartender at tinignan nang masama ang lalaki na nagsasabi.

"Who are you to say that?"inis kong sabi. Umupo ito sa upuan at tinignan ko. His eyes were cold and didn't display any emotion, and he looked kinda familiar. His hair was combed and he wore a black polo shirt. His polo flexed his biceps. My eyes squinted and my head began to hurt trying to remember who this guy was. 

Do I know him? I feel so.

"Lasing kana."sabi niya at tumawa ako.

"I'm just tipsy."tawa kong sabi at umiling ito.

"You're drunk and you can't even recognize me," he said which made my brows furrowed. Yeah, maybe I am drunk. I feel like my surroundings are getting blurry.

"Do I know you?"I asked and he nodded.

"Yes, we go to the same school together," he said and I began to wonder. But no image of memory with him came into my mind.

"Are you my bodyguard?"I asked the stupidest question, since I don't know how to ask that doesn't sound offending.

"No I'm not." he laughed and shook his head. "But I'm willing to protect you at all costs."Sabi niya at biglang lumapit sa akin.

"Don't touch me. Hindi kita kilala kaya huwag kang lumapit sa akin."sabi ko at pinilit siyang ilayo sa akin pero mas malakas siya kaya hindi ko siya nagalaw.

"I'm Jace," he said and I looked at him, eyebrows raised.

"Jace?Wala akong kilalang Jace."sabi ko at nag-iwas ng tingin. I drank the remaining liquor in my cup. Someone took it away from me. I didn't protest and just tried to stay awake as I felt myself getting drowsier.

"That hurts my feelings you know. You even hate me and now you're telling me you don't recognize me."

"W-wala nga akong kilalang Jace!"

"Lasing talaga." he chuckled.  I hold my head when I feel it aching. I stood up and was about to leave but my body was starting to give up on me, and I almost began to fall when somebody swiftly caught me and held my waist. It brought a shiver to my body as I felt him close to me, while his hands encircled my waist. I heard him curse and I can't even open my eyes properly because of how drunk I am. D*mn! How much did I drink? I began to giggle.

"Are you alone? Where's your friends?" he asked and I tried to open my eyes. I gazed at him, but he was so blurry. I put my hands on his cheeks. It's so soft as I traced it using my fingers. I felt him stiffened.

"Hmm."

I feel sleepy and wasted. My hands let go of his face and fell from my side.

I heard him sigh like he was trying not to get mad, but I could hear the frustration in his voice. "D*mn. How can you drink so much without realizing the consequences?" His voice sounds so familiar, but I can't decipher it.

"Oh Jace! Anong nangyari diyan?" He sounds familiar, too.

"Halata naman na lasing si Jewel." The tone of someone said that is also familiar. Tinignan ako nito na parang sinusuri kung gaano ako kalasing. I stuck my tongue out and I heard him chuckle.

"Kung nandito si Jewel, baka nandito din sila Amber." A hint of happiness in his tone. Amber? Oo nga, saan kaya iyon?

I tried to stand on my own and break from his grasp, and I succeeded. I tried to look around and find them, but I couldn't see clearly. And I almost fell. Mabuti nalang na mabilis niya ako hinawakan. Narinig ko ang pagmura niya. 

Tss. Why does this guy keep cursing?

"Do you have your keys?" I heard him ask. Sa akin ba siya nagtanong? Syempre, b*b*!Do I have the keys? Nope. I remembered that Amber had it. 

"N-no."Iyon lang ang nasabi ko. Utal pa, hindi ko alam kung naiintindihan ba niya. Pero parang naiintindihan niya dahil napapikit ito at mukhang naiinis na.

"Iuwi ko na ito."He said and pulled me closer to him.

"Saan?"curious na tanong ng kaibigan niya.

"In my home." He said and carried me bridal style. My hands automatically went to his nape and we were closer than ever. I smelled his manly scent of perfume. Ang bango niya!Sino ba ito?

He looks, sounds, and smells familiar. Hindi ko alam pero parang kilala ko siya at kilala din niya ako. Sana, boyfriend ko ito!

"Wow!Hindi ako na-inform na bahay na pala ni Jewel ang condo mo."I heard his friend tease. Even their sounds of laughter.

"Shut up." He spat. "I'm just letting her sleep there." He said and walked away from the crowd.

"Akala ko ba ayaw mo umaalaga ng lasing?"pahabol na tanong ng kaibigan niya. 

"Dude, it only applies to us." Someone said and they laughed.

"You are so easy to kidnap."He said coldly. I felt him stare at me and then put something on my shoulder to ease the coldness I felt. I heard him close the door and enter from the driver's seat. As he started the engine, I felt myself getting sleepier and I dozed off.
