CHAPTER 7

Wow. They really know a great deal about their relationship, it seems like gossip around here spreads faster like wildfire.

"Kapatid?"I asked. May kapatid si Jace? Who? I never saw him around here. Wala din naman nakasama si Jace na iba. The usual people he's around with are his friends.

"Jace's older brother. Jake." Natasha answered. "He's in the U.S. with his dad." She explained and I nodded.

"Is Penelope our blackmate?"I asked them, another question. I kinda curious of who Penelope is. Hindi ko siya masyado nakikita dito.

"Nope." Sapphire answered."She's in a different class."

"But I don't see her around here."I noticed. "If she's obsessing over him. Shouldn't she be always by his side?"

"Well, Jace scolded her in front of everybody, that if she pulled another stunt like this. She would be expelled." Natasha said. "So, she meets him in secret. The garden at the back of the school. Usually, Jace goes there to breathe if there aren't any people."

The garden? His favorite spot? But that was beginning to be my favorite spot!

"I heard somebody saw them and Penny was kneeling in front of Jace. While Jace, just left her." Sapphire said and snickered. "I mean, if I was Jace. I would also do it by the way."

Pagpasok namin sa loob ay maraming tumingin sa akin. Mostly, the girls were looking at me like a contaminated disease and the boys were just minding their own business, while some were smirking at me which made my brows furrowed. What is wrong with them?

Pag-upo ko sa aking upuan ay iyon din ang pagpasok ni Jace sa classroom. Maraming bumati sa kanya pero hindi niya ito tinapuan ng tingin. Ang sama talaga!

Umupo ito sa kanyang upuan at tumingin sa akin habang ako naman ay nag-iwas ng tingin.

"Enjoying hell, Miss Smith?"tanong niya kaya sinamaan ko ito ng tingin.

"Obviously not, "I said and he evilly chuckled. "Halata naman diba na badtrip ako."

"I'm enjoying when you're pissed," he smirked and it made me scoff.

"Good for you."

When the professor entered the room, we started our classes. While I was paying attention, I could feel him looking at me from time to time. I just shake it off and focus on listening to the professor.

Nang matapos na ang klase ay umuna na sila Amber dahil maghahanap sila na mauupuan namin sa Cafeteria kaya pumayag ako. Napaiwan ako dahil kinopya ko ang mga sulat sa board. Nang matapos na ay lalabas na sana ako ng biglang:

"Jewel!"Rinig kong tawag sa pangalan ko kaya napatingin ako sa likod ko.

"Carter?"kunot noo kong tanong at nang makalapit na ito ay tama nga ako na si Carter ito. "Dito ka pala nag-aral?"tanong ko at tumango naman ito.

"Scholar."ngiting sabi niya at tumango ako."Hindi ko akalain na parehas tayo ng class."

"Yeah."I agreed."Bakit hindi kita nakita kahapon?"takang tanong ko at napakamot naman ito sa batok niya.

"Absent ako. Na-ospital kasi ang kapatid ko. Dengue."Napakatakip ako sa aking bibig nang dahil sa sinabi niya.

"Do you need money?"tanong ko at umiling naman ito.

"Huwag na, Jewel. May pera naman ako."

"Hmm, okay."sabi ko at tumango.

"No flirting at the door."Napatingin kami kay Jace ng bigla nalang nandito sa harapan namin. Wala parin itong ekspresyon na nakatingin sa amin."You two look disgusting."Napatingin ako sa kanya ng hindi makapaniwala ng dahil sa sinabi niya.
