"Oh my Goodness, Elaine! Ang tagal mo! Kanina pang ala una lumapag ang eroplano mo pero ngayon ka lang nakauwi? Anong oras na ha!" bungad ni Belle pagkabukas na pagkabukas ko pa lang ng pintuan.

Napaatras pa ako nang kaunti dahil ang matinis niyang boses ang sumalubong sa akin. I expected her to be here but I didn't expect her to nagged me right after I opened the door! Hindi man niya lang ako hinayaang makapasok at maupo bago bungangaan.

"Belinda, are you my mom?" I rolled my eyes at her as I pushed the door to open it wide before I entered the house.

Sa pagkasara ko ng pinto, agad itinapon ni Belle ang sarili sa akin para yakapin ako.

"Oh my gosh! I missed you so much, Elina! For almost 5 years, hindi ka man bumisita dito kahit isang beses man lang!"

"You kept on visiting me in States, ano'ng nginangawa-ngawa mo ngayon?" I slightly laughed at her as I embraced my arms around her.

"Tss. Hindi mo tuloy nakita ang baby ni Lily," she mumbled.

Napabitiw ako sa yakap niya sa gulat. My mouth dropped and I could feel my eyes widened in surprise.

"What? L-Lily got pregnant?" I uttered agog.

"I didn't tell you?"

"Magugulat ba ako kung sinabi mo na sa akin? Sa ilang beses mong pabalik-balik doon, wala kang sinabi maski isa, Belinda!"

"Oh sarrey, okay? Sarrey," she said imitating the accent of the female lead (which I have forgotten the name) from a Korean novela; My Love From the Star.

"Where's the baby? And who's the father? Did she got married? Nabinyagan na ba? Bakit hindi ako inimbita?!" I said a bit hysterically.

Belled looked at me from head to toe before she grimaced.

"Baka kasi mukha kang hampas lupa." Without hmany second thought, I slapped her arm with my Louis Vuitton bag.

"Bwesit ka!"

"Kidding! The baby's 2 months old pa. Hinintay ka talaga ni Lily na makauwi bago magpabinyag. And then the father..." Her brows furrowed before she looked away as if she's trying to remember something. "Ayy tanga! Hindi din namin kilala. She didn't tell us. Kahit first name man lang noong lalaki," huminga ang boses niya.

I was left stunned. I blinked my eyes a couple of times unbelievably as I tried to process what she just said.

"D-Does that mean the child doesn't have any father?"

Tumango siya. "Parang ganoon na nga."

Napasinghap ako. Parang bigla akong nakaramdam ng jetlag at sumakit ang ulo ko sa nalaman.

"How's Lily, then?"

"She looks happy." Tumango-tango pa si Belle na parang pilit pinapaniwala ang sarili. "I just hope she's not pretending to be."

I let out a breathe. Just then at that moment, I saw my mom went out from the kitchen, holding a container of foods. Didiretso na sana siya patungo sa pool area nang mahagip kami ng kaniyang mata.

Her mouth formed an "o" before her lips stretched for a warm smile.

"Elaine! You're here," she said as she started to walked towards our direction.
