Royal (person A) is forced to meet all the people in the land to find a partner that is fit to rule the kingdom with them.
A common townsperson (person B) shows up upon the King's request.
Though person B isn't interested in marrying person A, person A's parents is tired of them rejecting everyone and just chooses this commoner for their child to marry.
Person B is upset at this choice and ignores person A deliberately. Person A is also upset but is attempting to get closer with person B and at least become friends.
Somewhere down the line, person A realizes they've falls head over heels in love with person B, who's still distancing themself with person A.
The choice is up to you whether or not person B ends up reciprocating person A's feelings :)
