Believer

The bigger roots started smacking together to resemble a drum beat.

I was broken from a young age
Taking my sulking to the masses
Writing my poems for the few
That look at me, took to me, shook to me, feeling me
Singing from heartache from the pain
Taking my message from the veins
Speaking my lesson from the brain
Seeing the beauty through the...

Michael's head moved forward as he whispered, "pain," then some of the roots pointed at Lilly's body as a bell sounded from the horn and sticks came from the ceiling to smack together.

She made me a, she made me a believer, believer
She breaks me down, she builds me up, believer, believer
Pain!
Oh let the bullets fly, oh let them rain
My life, my love, my drive, it came from...
She made me a, she made me a believer, believer

Third things third
Send a prayer to the ones up above
All the hate that she's heard has turned her spirit to a dove, oh ooh
Her spirit above, oh ooh

More gramophone horns came out as Michael's voice began to sound like three voices overlapping one another.

I was choking in the crowd
Building my rain up in the cloud
Falling like ashes to the ground
Hoping my feelings, they would drown
But they never did, ever lived, ebbing and flowing
Inhibited, limited
Till it broke open and rained down
It rained down, like...

She made me a, she made me a believer, believer
She breaks me down, she builds me up, believer, believer
Pain!
Oh let the bullets fly, oh let them rain
My life, my love, my drive, it came from...
She made me a, she made me a believer, believer

The sticks and roots stopped drumming as a piano was heard playing from the horns.

Last things last
By the grace of the fire and the flames
She's the face of the future, the blood in my veins, oh ooh
The blood in my veins, oh ooh
But they never did, ever lived, ebbing and flowing
Inhibited, limited
Till it broke open and rained down
It rained down, like...

The roots began to slap again to form a drum beat and an orchestra sounded from the gramophone horns.

She made me a, she made me a believer, believer!
She breaks me down, she builds me up, believer, believer!
Pain!
Oh let the bullets fly, oh let them rain!
My life, my love, my drive, it came from...
She made me a, she made me a believer, believer!

As the music got louder and more dramatic, people started backing up and going down the steps from the infirmary section when white smoke began spraying from the root tips, enveloping the whole room. Multicolored lights flashed from the roots and the whole area was enveloped in shining lights.

"What the hell is going on?!" Arthur shouted over the music.

"I don't know!" Cernunnos yelled.

The music kept playing and they could only watch in confusion and awe as the smoke got thicker and the lights got brighter. Aoífe and Junior were the only ones who were enjoying the show, however, as they danced with one another.

"He's making something wonderful!" Aoífe exclaimed happily. "Oh, I canna wait tah see it!"

A flash of lightning filled the room and a strike of thunder sounded loudly, making everyone cover their ears. They backed up further as the kids giggled with glee.
