I felt good. The alcohol wasn't good. But I felt good. Danny and I reunited with Jake who had somehow found Sammy. Sam had been drunk off his ass when he saw us and he threw his arm around me excitedly. "You look so pretty Po!"

"Thank you Sammy. You do too." I assured him trying to hold his weight up against my shoulders. "We need a designated driver!" Sam announced loudly, "And it will not be me!" We all laughed. He was a piece of work.

"I'll be the driver." I told them and Jake raised an eyebrow at my cup. I handed it over to him. "I just had a little bit. I've got a buzz but I'll be good by the time we leave." Jake peered into the cup as if to make sure I really did only have a "little bit."

"Are you sure? You can enjoy yourself. I won't drink." He tried handing the cup back to me but I waved it off. "I'll be fine Jake." I said, "You enjoy yourself." He looked at me incredulously for a moment longer before finally tossing back the remaining of the cup.

"I'm gonna go get me another one of these. Watch Sammy for me." He took off towards the kitchen and Sam looked at me and Danny. "I feel great. And I think I deserve some more." Danny grinned, giving me a look. "If you can keep an eye on him, I say let him." I said, eyeing Sam who was already starting to walk off.

Danny took off after him and I was left alone. Of course not really alone, there were several people crowded in the hallway with me. As I stood there I caught sight of a familiar face. "Oliver?" I called out and then immediately shut my mouth. Why did I call his name? Jesus Christ.

He turned at the sound of his name and a smile spread across his face when he saw it was me. "Hey Posy." Oliver walked up to me, reaching down to give me a quick hug. He still smelled the same.

"What are you doing here?" I asked and I couldn't help but soak in the familiarity of seeing him again. "It's Mitchell's party. I'm not too old to still come right?" He raised an eyebrow grinning at me and I couldn't help but grin back.

"Nah I don't think so." I answered and he held his cup out to me. "No can do. I'm the designated driver tonight." Oliver stuck his lower lip out, "That's no fun. But props to you." I wondered what to say next but he spoke again.

"It's been a while huh?"

"It has." I nodded, looking up at him.

"I miss you sometimes." He leaned against the wall next to us, "Is that okay?" I nodded again, feeling stupid that that was all I could think to do. I felt tongue tied being around him again. Finally I spoke, "Yeah it's okay."

"Have you been okay?" He asked, running his fingers through his dark hair. "Yeah, just ready to graduate." I answered and he nodded. "College can be a real bitch though."

As he said it my thoughts immediately went to the girl he met in college, the one he quit seeing me for and I felt my stomach turn. "I'm not seeing her anymore." He said, as though he read my thoughts.

"Alright."

"Just so you know."

"Thanks for letting me know." I said stupidly and I wanted to kick myself. He reached out and tugged at one my curls. "You look good Posy. Call me later." And with that, he turned to go, glancing at me once more to smile. Stupid. I felt stupid.

It was nice seeing him again. His hair was shorter since the last time I saw him but I still remembered running my own fingers through it. I stayed like that for a while, staring at the spot he had stood. I felt a touch at my back and I turned around quickly only to find Jake.

"Was that Oliver I just saw?" He asked. "Yep. In the flesh." I answered and he looked surprised. "Fucking hell, what did he say?" I shrugged nonchalantly, "That I'm super hot and he wants to bang me."
