"What is it, Attorney?"
"The annulment petition has already been sent to Mr. Beltran."
When I heard the news, my eyes automatically went back on Paris, and I saw him still standing in front of his car, probably waiting for us to come inside the house. He was smiling at me, which means that he hasn't read yet the annulment petition. What is this? Why does hearing that the annulment petition has been sent breaks my heart? I should be happy that everything is going according to my plan, but here I am, feeling like having a silent breakdown.
I shook my head to gain my composure and put the phone back on my ear. "T-That's good to know. Thank you, Attorney."
"Yeah," matipid niyang tugon.
Nanatili siyang seryoso at mataman akong pinagmamasdan.
I sighed and stepped closer to him. I took the towel resting on his shoulder and started drying his wet hair. "You're going to get sick if you sleep with your hair wet. How many times do I have to tell you that?"
I was just drying his hair with the towel when suddenly he wrapped his arms around my waist, the reason why my body got pressed to his. He just finished taking shower, but he's already warm. He buried his head on my neck and when he did that, the fine hairs of my nape rose because of the warmth of his breath scorching on my skin.
"Yael—"
"I don't know how much longer I can take it. I know I'm not in the right place to say this pero...
When that question came out of his mouth, my mind was corrupted for a second. I was trying to look for an answer that will match his expectations. He wants assurance this time. Yael wants me to say it directly to him.
