Chapter 37: Family

"Uhh, di ka babalik sa work mo?" I asked pagkarating namin sa condo nya, He simply shook his head habang pinapaluwagan ang necktie nya at agad na umakyat sa kwarto

I pouted, is he jealous? I don't know! Should i be happy that he's jealous or be pissed because I'm literally just talking to Raf!

I'm at the kitchen inaayos ang mga bulaklak galing sa bouquet sa isang vase habang hinihintay si Kai na bumaba, while doing it, i saw Kaiden in my peripheral vision na sinusuot ang t-shirt nya habang pababa sa hagdan

His jaw clenched nang nakita ang ginagawa ko, my forehead wrinkled. What's his problem? And why he looks so mad at my every movement?!

"You like sunflowers?" He asked habang binubuksan ang refrigerator sa may likuran ko at nagsalin ng tubig sa baso

"Who...d-doesn't?" Nagulat pa ako nang kunti dahil sa biglaan nyang pagsasalita, he sighed sa sagot ko. What did i do this time?

I mean, lahat naman ng bulaklak ay maganda at paborito ko. Sunflowers are pretty and bright so...i like them?

Aalis na sana sya sa kusina nang hawakan ko ang dulo ng t-shirt nya, he stopped and looked down to my hands–holding his shirt tightly

"Uhhh, can we talk?" I asked gently, Damn it! It took him seconds to answer kaya halos mawalan na ako ng pag-asa

"Yeah, we really should" Nagtindigan ang mga balahibo ko sa boses nya, he looked at me with anger and his eyes are deep when his gaze turned to me

He removed my hand from his shirt at lumapit sakin, i almost shout when he suddenly scooped my butt at pina-upo sa counter ng kusina!

"What the–" due to instinct my arms automatically wrapped around his nape, it loosened after i safely sat on the counter, my arms fell on his shoulder

"Now, why are you with that guy, hmm?" I froze when i felt his breath on my neck, napasinghap ako, trying to pull myself together

"Uhh, he's the CEO's son and...we k-know each other, we...met sa LA d-dati" i explained, fuck! I can't stop myself from stuttering!

"CEO's son, huh? Don't you want to be the CEO's wife, then? I'm a CEO" he said confidently, i bit my lower lip. Oh, right! He owns bunch of businesses and q company that i can't even name one or should i say... I don't know where to start!

"And what's with the flowers?" He asked, namilog ang mata ko nang makita syang pinitas ang isang petal ng sunflower

"Kai!" I shouted and hit his arms lightly to stop him, "That's not from him! The company gave that to me...to congratulate me from my last shoot! That's all!"

"Really, huh" He tilted his head a bit and raise one of his eyebrow na parang hinahamon ako,

"I'm telling the truth! I promise, nakalimutan lang ibigay kaya pinahabol saakin sa parking lot" I explained more para lang ma satisfy sya sa sagot ko

"If that's what you say then" he was about to leave the kitchen and left me on the counter but using my arms i snaked it around his nape again and pushed it so he would get closer to me

I planted soft kisses on his lips, "I'm sorry. I didn't know you'd get jealous. I thought it's just nothing to you"

He scoffed, "I saw him giving you a fucking bouquet, who wouldn't get jealous of that? And you..." He trailed off na para bang na i-istress syang tapusin ang sasabihin
