Chapter XII

I was laying in bed, when I felt someone sit beside me.

Jaime.

I knew immediately that it was him because of the way he started stroking my hair.

But why was he crying?

'Oh Vic, I don't think you know how much you mean to me. Even after all we've been through, you're still an amazing person.' he whispered slowly. 'And it really hurts me to see you like this but I hope you realize this is for your own good. I only want what's best for you.'

He stood up and kissed my lips before leaving and closing the door.

I don't think I could take it any longer, you know, Jaime not being with me.

I needed him more than he needed me.

There was a knock on the door which made me wonder who it was. For one, it could either be Jaime, Tony, or my brother.

'Come in.' I said.

'Room service.' Jaime said as he came in with a tray in hands.

The tray had so many different foods. It had some green enchiladas, rice, mole, chicken, sopes, and quesadillas, along with some ice cold agua de naranja.  

[A/N: I'm so Mexican that when I wrote this little section, I literally pictured and smelled the food and now I'm craving some green enchiladas con crema, pollo, and queso. Lol.]

I had gotten up earlier but then came back up here because I was not feeling well, must be all the thinking I've been doing.

'Mi Jaime, did you make all this?' I asked.

'Most of it yes, Mike and Ally came over earlier and she helped me.' he said setting the tray down.

'Why are you so amazing?'

'They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, right?'

'But Jaime, you already have my heart.' I smiled. 'Thank you so much though, this looks so good. Is this all for me?'

'Well, I wanted to wait till you got out of this room so I could take you to dinner but you never did so I made this...' he said quickly. 'Anddddd, I was thinking we eat and watch some movies then talk. Sound good?'

'That sounds amazing.'

'Wow Jaime, you and Ally really outdid yourselves.' I smiled, wiping the chile from the corners of my mouth.

'Thank you Mr. Fuentes, I'm glad you enjoyed the food.' Jaime smiled as he picked everything up. 'I'll be right back.' he said before walking out of the room.

How did I ever get so lucky to get a guy like him?

'Oh Vic, you're so beautifully amazing. You're the most wonderful person pacing in this room.' Jaime sang. 'Just a little tune I made up in my head just now.' he smiled.

'Well thank you so much, Jaime. I don't know what to sing after this so this is where this song ends.' I sang, imitating his tone.

'You don't have to sing anymore, your mere presence makes my heart race.'

'Jaime, quit being so cheesy.' I laughed.

'Hey!' he pouted. 'I, Jaime Alberto Preciado, am not cheesy.'

'Yes because I, Victor Vincent Fuentes, say so.'

We went into a laughing fit before Jaime tackled me into the bed.

His hands pinned my arms to the top of my head. His knees were on either side of me and his face was inches way from mine.

I could feel his hot breath hit my face.

'Do you still love me? I am dying to know..' Jaime sang.

'Jaime, you know I love you more than anyone in this world. And I've been thinking...'

'Oh my God, someone call the press. Vic's thinking again.' he chuckled.

'Let me finish Jaime.' I laughed. 'I was thinking about what you told me the other day and...' I trailed off.

'And?'

'I know what I want now. For sure.'

'What would that be?'

'I know I-' I said before there was a knock on the door. 'Come in.'

Jaime immediately got off me and sat down.

'Someone's here to see you Jaime.' Tony said.

'Who?' he asked.

'Go downstairs and you'll find out.' he said before closing the door.

Jaime and I looked at each other.

Who could it be?

I decided it'd be better for him to go alone, since Tony said they were looking for him and not us.

'Go on down, I'll stay up here. Holler if you need me.' I chuckled.

'No, you're coming with me.' he smiled. 'It's either of two people.'

Just as we were coming down the stairs, a familiar face came into view.
