They go on some kind of quest requiring them to visit the five rivers of the underworld, however somewhere along the way they are sent to/fall into Tartarus and have to complete their quest while trying to find their way out
In Tartarus Nico uses his powers to show Will what it looks like to him, Will gets really scared but he sees Nico in his "Prince of the Underworld" attire and its stunning
Will is shookth when he discovers the Phlegethon has healing powers and kinda disgusted when he finds out why
Nico gets hurt and needs the Phlegethon to heal, Will freaks when he reaches into the river and is terrified
Will tends to Nico and still is in wonder with how many scars Nico has
They are relaxing in a safe(ish) place and Nico tells Will about his different travels around the world, especially China and Will loves it
Will gets really mad and defensive when he found out Akhlys said Nico was perfect because she couldn't make him more miserable, this was when there was a confrontation with her and she acted disappointed and said that she would make sure Nico would always be miserable
Will gets PISSED
Nico loves his protective significant annoyance
Nico has 'visions' when they see the river Lethe (like what happened to Hazel in Son of Neptune) of when he and Bianca were dipped in it
When they go to the river of sorrows (Cocytus) they find Annabeth's dagger and laptop from Daedalus and they bring them back to her
Before they can leave Tartarus they have to speak with Styx, goddess/personification of hate who is also the nymph of the river Styx.
Children of Styx - Nike goddess of victory, Zelos god of rivalry, Bia goddess of force, and Kratos god of strength.
Husband - Pallas, Titian of battle and warcraft
Was the Eldest daughter of Tethys and Oceanus and is considered the most powerful out of all her thousands of siblings.

In the end, they exit into the underworld and are taken care of by Hades. Will gets flustered when he sees Nico in his toga and jewelry that marks him as the "Prince of the Underworld" and "Ghost King". Nico is really happy when Hades tells him he approves of Will, saying he respects him as a doctor and understands Nico liking him since he married Persephone.
Nico takes Will to visit Elysium and surprises him by letting him say goodbye to his brothers Lee Fletcher and Micheal Yew along with some of the patients he couldn't save
Everyone at Camp is really relieved when they come back
Especially Hazel who was really worried about Nico
Percy was just smirking on the sidelines since he knew Nico could make it through, especially since he had Will. Annabeth is standing next to him like a proud Mom/sister.
Annabeth is ecstatic when they give her the laptop and her dagger
Renya sends an iris message later to check on Nico and says she is happy he's okay
