Alex sits by my side and starts flirting. He is all one night stand type guy and I am not in it. I dont even know how to flirt. I am not usually into flirty guys but today I seem to like the attention and I am blaming it on my nervousness and ofcourse Sidharth freaking Shukla.

He hasn't once looked away from his bloody phone.

I dont know why he is acting like this but I think its better this way. He is avoiding and ignoring me and I guess I should also just do that.

"Tell us about yourself Shehnaaz." Alex asks.

What the hell he wants to know now?

My favourite colour, food, hobby or if I am single or not. I scoff internally.

I am plain and simple girl who came here to make my dead parents proud.

"There is nothing to tell about me. I am rather boring and simple." I shrug my shoulders.

"Come on babe, anything?" he pouts and I bet guys he is not looking cute at all.

"Well I am from Hudson. It is a small city in New York, little far away from here. I have my grandma and best friends there and I love them. I am passionate about arts. Its my life's main dream. I think that should be enough." I chuckle nervously thinking if I have spoken too much.

I look around the table and find everyone, well apart from Sidharth as he is still busy in his damn phone, staring at me with not surprise but I guess amusement.

"Isn't Hudson river there. I have heard about it."

I beam happily at Alex, "Yeah its there. It is very beautiful and peaceful."

Hudson river is a famous place for tourists. Loads of people come here during springs. It looks heavenly with full of nature. Its a very peaceful place. I love visiting there."

Oh I miss it already. I used to go there very much.

"I always wanted to go there but with a beautiful girl like you to give me a tour, So wont you beautiful?" he winks flirtatiously.

I laugh with a nod. He is really trying so hard to flirt with me.

"Oh so you like arts." Stefan asks abruptly, his gaze flickers towards Sid for a brief moment.

And guess what guys that freaking person is still busy in his phone. What the hell is so important in his phone and I dont know why the hell it is affecting me. It should not. I guess I should ignore him totally.

"Actually I love it. It gives me peace." I smile nodding at him.

"You must be on scholarship." he raises his brow.

I dont know how he got to know this. Maybe because I am not like most of the students here or perhaps because I am dressed in rather plain and dull clothes in front of these rich and elegant people.

"You are here for study. Dont focus on anything else." my conscience reminds me.

I know and I wave that nagging feeling away. I have worked and studied hard for this scholarship and I shouldn't be ashamed of it.
