~I love you~

HRVYs POV
So about 7 months ago I asked my childhood best friend y/n to be my girlfriend. About a year ago I decided that I wanted to be more than friends with her, so it took me three months to manage to ask her. Happily she said yes and now seven months later we're so happy.

It was currently 6:00pm so y/n was due home from work any second we don't live together but I asked if I could stay at hers tonight, she works in boots in London, but she's training to become a nurse so she's at university after her shifts at boots.

I heard the front door open so I ran downstairs to greet her, when she saw me she smiled and hugged me

"Hello you" she said softly, she sounded tired

"hello darling" I kissed her cheek "how about you get out of your work clothes and I'll make you a cup of tea" I said rubbing her arm

"Sounds good" she said walking to her room putting her folders down and taking her lanyard off

When she walked in the room in her comfy clothes, she was snuggled on my shoulder scrolling through messages and answering them.

After about an hour of talking to each other laughing and snuggling I said something that I'd been meaning to say for a while "I do love you y/n" when I said it she slightly smiled

"love you too Harv" she said getting up, but she said it the way we always used to say when we were younger, like friends do "right I'm getting to bed, are you staying?" She asked me

"Erm yeh I'll be up in a sec" I replied

She walked into her room and got into bed, when I remembered something

*FLASHBACK*
(third person POV, y/n and Harvey are 15)

"Yo y/n" Harvey shouted in the yard at school leaving his friends to speak to his best friend, taking her from her friend group

"What's up Harvey?" She asked laughing

"Just checking up on my best friend" he said smirking

"What do you want"she said seeing behind the act

"Can I copy your English notes, please it will only be this time" he said grabbing her hand joking to beg

"Of course you can" she laughed as they found a table

After he'd finished copying the notes they just talked

"Honestly Harvey i do love you" she laughed

"I love you too, friends forever?" As he held out his hands

"And always" she replied as the bell rung

*END OF FLASHBACK*

So I went to join y/n in bed, what if she didn't really log me like that it's worrying me

"Y/n, I meant it that I love you, not as I the banter we had when we were 15, I really do" I said to her

"I love you too Harvey" she said smiling "I always have"

"Will you forever" I said laughing holding out my hand

"And always" she replied kissing my hand
