A sigh left the girl's lips breaking the empty atmosphere, staring emptily at the wall her fist lightly slamming to the wall thinking that physical pain can distract her from emotional pain, she just wanted to be back to normal, and to her, she sees normal as being happy and carefree but as she looks at the wall deep in thought she feels sad- no, it wasn't even sadness, it was numbness she feels, she continues to stare with a blank look plastered in her face, her eyes going glassy and red from the stinging pain that she's grown to forget

𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚑𝚎𝚕𝚕 𝚠𝚑𝚢 𝚊𝚖 𝙸 𝚋𝚎𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚍𝚛𝚊𝚖𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚌? She wasn't the one who just lost her mother right in front of her eyes, she wasn't the one who saw her house turn into pieces of debris, and here she is now moping around like she has the right to

Why can't she go back to normal? Wanting to feel normal is easier being said than done, when the ghosts of her past leaves her soul comfortably numb, maybe she deserved this, or maybe she was just destined to feel despair with no one to care

Her thoughts were cut off by the feeling of being watched like eyes were blaring through her back, her vulnerable state far gone, taking a deep breath she turned around eyes searching everywhere

Until it landed at two kids who seemed like they were waiting for someone, one had blonde hair standing straight while the other boy had black hair and was unusually tall for his young age

Her eyes softened as she stared at the tired eyes that belonged to the two kids, it somehow reminded her of the girl she saw every day, the girl knew everything about her, her weaknesses, her problems, she listened to her dreams and wonders, not once interrupted, not once told she was wrong, she understood what she was going through, she was there all the time but the young girl didn't like her, no, more of she hated her, she hated the girl that always looked at her through the mirror though she didn't recognize how much the girl keeps fighting even with the feeling of despair which makes her stronger than she'll ever think

"Bertholdt relax she'll come back" the blonde-haired boy tried soothing his friend patting him in the back though that did not help the tall boy's nerves as he anxiously fiddled with his fingers

Until something caught his eyes, he looked over to the h/c girls' direction and curiously watched, not that he was being a perv- wait was he? He abruptly looked away not liking how he could be classified as one

"What's wrong?" Reiner asked noticing his friend's sudden reaction, his eyes wandered for a bit trying to find the reason for Betholdt's response until he saw a girl who was leaning against the wall looking lost in thought
