Chapter 9:End of the War or Just the Beggining?

Skylord looked at Ethan while he shouted:

"You lowly being!Taking my daughter prisoner and thinking you could use her against me!"Skylord remained calm,while Mistregale flinched.

"Actually it was my idea,I want this war to end father,it's not doing any of us any good"Kaida said

"But my grandfather said they caused this war!"Ethan said,pointing to the skywolves.

"He said we're better than them and they deserve nothing!"then a few skywolves growled

"Father,we're equals,the skywolves control the wind,thus they control the weather,without them how would we grow our food!?"Kaida said

"Kaida,how could you....betray me like that!?"then Ethan lunged forward straight at Skylord.

Then I leapt and blocked with my sword then Kaida walked beside me

"I'm sorry but I can't let you kill them"I said

"So be it"Ethan said.

He drew another sword and we fought,we had blocked blows and had not returned any then Ethan disarmed Kaida his sword aimed at her

"I never thought I had to kill my daughter,who betrayed me"he said heartlessly.

He lifted the sword then Skylord and Mistregale ju,ped in and fought Ethan,for dogs they were good,they used their claws and eventually disared Ethan and Skylord said

"I don't want to kill you,I want this war to end"Skyord said

"What good can come from this war?Death?That won't help,it gives us grudges and fills us with hate,look around everyones fighting in anger,for hate,there are many ways to settle disputes,without blood,war is just waste of good people and good time"Mistregale said

Ethan sighed then he lowered his swords and said

"Is this what you want Kaida?"Kaida nodded he looked at Skylord and said

"Very well,how about a truce?"Ethan said.

Skylord nodded and everyone cheered.Skywolves howled and dragons roared and I let out a smile

"Well then let us handle this problem later,for it is time for a feast!"Ethan boomed,even more cheers erupted

"Oh boy"Skylord said,while Mistregale chuckled

"After how many years you still have'nt changed?"a mischievous smile was on his face.

I turned to Kaida and Hunter

"Now that the war's over does that mean this is goodbye?"Kaida said

"I'm afraid so"Hunter said

"Well then,goodbye Hunter,i'll never forget you!"Kaida said.

Hunter smiled and I nodded and he turned around and followed the other skywolves who were leaving,but before he disappeared from our sight he let out a mix of a growl and a howl.

"That means thank you"Skylord said,then both of them followed the other skywolves.

I looked at Kaida and she nodded we both flew off and got to Kaida's castle.Like Ethan said,the castle was full of people having fun.We stayed in the tree I usually go to,we talked and I finally asked.

"So when are you taking me home?"

"Oh tomorrow,I'm tired but happy,I met Hunter and stopped a war"Kaida said

"Fair point"Then I yawned and we went up to sleep,Kaida was asleep,but I left to see Ruby

"Could you visit me back at my home?"I asked,holding her head

"Sorry Artemis but that is beyond my abilities,i'm afraid I have to leave you once again"Ruby said,so she left me again.

"Uhhh,I guess i'm going to be alone back at home,well atleast Aeron is with me"so I left and I and went back to sleep.

(At dawn)

"Kaida,when can I go home?"I asked.

"Actually,we can't go yet,Father says we will meet the skywolves,to settle the disputes"Kaida said.

So I flew to Tempest's Haven and we met Skylord and Mistregale,suprisingly Hunter was there

"Why were we here?I thought it is only between you"Hunter said

"We need all the proof we have"Skylord said.

"So about this dispute,can't we just half the lands like before?"Ethan said

"I'm afraid it won't work,they might complain again,and you know where that took us"Skylord said

"Hmmm,wait don't you live in the skies?"

"Only me and Mistregale live in the skies,the others have seperate homes in the ground"

"What to do!?"

"Can't we just share the lands?And Ignore the borders?"I asked

"No,it won't work,some may have not fully accepted the war has ended,if we share the land,there are great chances there will be attacks"Skylord said

"Then lets just try!We never know until we give it a try,maybe they'll see skywolves as friends and accept it,they control the weather for dragon's sake!"Kaida said

"She's right,if we bring a few skywolves,and let them meet the dragons we could see if it will work"Mistregale said

"Good enough for me,what do you think?"Ethan said

"Sure,but when?"Skylord asked

"Tomorrow,at high noon"Ethan said.

They gave a nod and we left,I said goodbye to Hunter,and we went back to the castle,That afternoon Ethan had announced what would happen,a few were against it but eventually gave in.Ethan picked a few dragons and their riders,and two warriors,in total they were six,they were going to meet tomorrow at high noon,in the castle.

(The next day at high noon)

Skylord and Mistregale walked in,they brough Hunter and four other skywolves,they were theonly ones there,whilst everyone came to watch from the palace,Ethan told the dragons he chose to come forth.It was the moment of truth,either the war would end or continue...
