"So, what's the plan?" he asked, his head turned to me as he lean his arm on the steering wheel.

"bukid" maikli kong sabi, "Huh?" he asked, noticeably shocked.

"Yung lola ko, may bukid sila maganda doon, yknow? para makapag unwind" sabi ko, sandali siyang nagisip bago tumango.

"alright, let's do it"

"malayo nga lang" i said, searching for the location on google maps.

"that's fine, it's sunday naman bukas" aniya habang pinapagana ang sasakyan, binuksan ko ang navigator sa cellphone ko incase maligaw kami, "seatbelt please" Sabi niya saakin.

Inabot ko agad ang seatbelt, "It's stuck" u said while 'fake' pulling the seatbelt.

It's not.

as expected, jake reached for the seatbelt, his other hand was resting on the back of my seat, trapping me in place.

My breath hitched, he smells nice.
weirdly nice, what is it? his cologne? fabric softener?

agad kong pinigilan ang sarili ko sa pag amoy sakaniya, gosh thalia napaka creepy mo.

"ah, do i smell bad?" my self arguement was stopped noong nag tanong si Jake matapos niyang ayusin ang seatbelt ko, to my disappointment bumalik na sya sa dati niyang pwesto, i looked at him and he was sniffing his sleeves to see if he smells bad.

quite the opposite.

"Ha? Hindi! you smell nice haha pogi" Sabi ko sabay thumbs up, Tumawa siya sa sinabi ko before muttering a small 'thank you'

"Let's go?" "Yeah"

"Oh, so you live with heeseung and sunghoon pala" sabi ko tumango siya habang nasa daan parin ang tingin. 

It has been hours since we left the house, we kept stopping for snacks and other stuff kaya medyo tumagal ang byahe.

"Yeah, i just recently moved in with them wala rin kasing nagbabantay kay layla pag umaalis ako" He said, i nodded, continuing to snack on the bag of potato chips we bought earlier.

"Must be fun, living with them" sabi ko habang inaabutan siya ng chips, he opens his mouth and chewed on it ,"Yeah, Heeseung is pretty fun to live with, he's funny"

"Si sunghoon naman minsan lang umuuwi kasi kadalasan nakikitulog siya sa bahay ng girlfriend niya" Bago pa niya maisara ang bibig niya, isinubo ko sakanya ang isang piraso ng chip, he glanced at me, chuckling.

"Oh, si belle, right?" Tumango siya.

"You know her?"

"Kinda? she helped me with my photos dati, which was weird to me kasi hindi ko siya kilala noong time na'yon" jake laughed a little, steering the wheel.

"Belle has always been nice, minsan nga nakakalimutan narin niya yung mga ginagawa niya eh"

"Close kayo?"

Jake nodded, "Yeah, kami nila sunghoon noong highschool"

I wonder what he was like noong highschool sila? i wouldn't know cause i moved back to my lola's place for highschool

"Nandito na tayo" Sabi niya, tumingin ako sa labas and he was right.

Tinanggal ko ang seatbelt ko at lumabas, hindi ko na hinintay na pagbuksan niya ako ng pinto.

I was met with the fresh air and the breathtaking scenery, "Thaliana!" Ngumiti ako noong narinig ko ang boses ng lola ko.  "Ikaw na ba 'yan?"

I ran towards her and gave her a hug, "Ang tagal na kitang hindi nakita apo"

"Busy po sa school eh" Her gaze shifted to Jake who was standing behind me.

"Who's this? nobyo mo apo?" Tanong nya, agad akong umiling.

"Hindi po" "Hindi pa po" Sabay naming sagot ni Jake, I raised a brow at him and he smiled.

"Si jake po, kaibigan ko po" Sabi ko, nagmano si Jake kay lola.

"Magandang araw po" he greets, smiling as he shows her a basket of fruits. "for you po lola"
