we gave you our stories.
our time and our ideas.
we shared them with the world.
our voices were heard,
and it was beautiful.
we put the words out,
-people heard, and understood.
we gave you pieces of who we were
and yet
-that didn't keep them safe?
no, i suppose not,
obviously-
but
just because it wasn't altogether unexpected didn't make it right
and it still isn't right
so what is there to be done?
nothing?
i say no
copy and paste, those theives copy and paste
saying,
look here,
look at these stories
come read them
just come look 🙂
liars and fakes, yes, liars and fakes
opened my eyes now,
twice again
never forgotten
unpublish, i click with a sigh,
unpublish my works
i don't want them to end up on that site
again
so we'll see...
they'll take this, i know they will
yeah, teenfic.net, yeah, you will, won't you?
well
go ahead
take my work
take everyone else's
sure, no, no,
that's
perfectly
totally fine
we're sorry, wattpad says, we're sorry, but we can't take shut them down,
and yes, i get that
i understand why
still it's frusturating that we can't do more
i keep hearing from people
about their experience with this
their own stories that were taken
and i'm thinking-
why?
truly that's a rhetorical question
and maybe the real question
is why would i put my work out there like that for anyone to see?
maybe because
i wanted to be acknowleged
and who wouldn't?
still
worth the risk was it worth the risk?
i still love this platform,
