He fell in love with him at blue hour.

And seventeen years old Jeongguk did not see it coming.

Did not see that love would come itself uninvited to the doors of his heart, entering and making him experience what it's like to fall in love with someone.

Someone like Kim Taehyung, the one who stole his heart away.

The one who gave him a fresh breath of air in his lungs.

The one whom his lips ache for.

The one where every single vein in his body screaming for his name.

And also the one who loved him so much until the very end.

But Jungkook belonged in an era where everyone broke each other apart.

Where everyone just hurts everyone.

Where everyone cheats and replaces them with another.

Everyone is only looking for lust, looking for a bed to warm with, hoping to forget the loneliness and just bask in the pleasure.

Everyone forgets their dignity and loses their minds, drowning in self destruction.

Alcohol, drugs, sex, parties, etc. Everyone seems to do these things nowadays.

Living in this era is not safe for people who have pure hearts and intentions and are looking for someone to be with them forever without falling apart.

Everyone seems to drown into darkness and the only way out to escape from their problems and life itself is death.

Life is emotionally abusive.

The era became too depressing and dark for everyone that these were the only things they could cope with.

What a sad, sad life it was.

Life is so harsh that everyone is a victim, whether they may admit it or not. No one is spared.

We're just puppets for it. A play to play with. A fool to fool with. Just a doll for the fates to mess up with.

Yet for Jeon Jungkook, his life may seem weird at times yet he still has his family. His Grandma Lulu and his father whom he loved very much.

He is one of those lucky bastards who still have their lives still intact, away from the harsh waves that life seems to pour over almost everyone.

Although his mother died in a car accident when he was seven, her death never impacted his life. He could barely remember her.

His grandfather also died in a car accident when he was ten, his death though, may have impacted him a bit, leaving him traumatized for months before finally gotten over it, never seemed to affect his whole life either.

The seventeen year old is glad that he still has his family with him. The closest member he has is with his grandmother Lulu whom he loves with all of his heart.

His father would tease that he is a grandma's boy but hey, who could blame Jungkook? Grandmothers are the ones out there who are the best.

Life seemed to favor him, giving him happiness.

For now.

"You're finally seventeen. Happy birthday, kookie!" His grandmother greets him with a big smile plastered on her wrinkled face, holding a big cake in front of him.

Jungkook whines. "Ma, I told you, don't call me kookie! I'm not a baby anymore."

"But you're still a minor, kid." Jungkook whined again when his father, Junghwan, spoke as he went inside the kitchen and gave him a hug. "Happy birthday kiddo."
