Walking down an aisle, lost and in search of something I couldn't name, I felt a heavy weight on my heart.
I was closer to it. That which I sought.
Then a ray of light appeared from far ahead and I saw.
The most beautiful soul I'd ever encountered. The one whom I loved. My Adeola.
A glimmer of hope filled me as I knew my search was over, but it was only for a fleeting moment.
Even as I tried reaching out to her, there's nary a moment that she didn't move farther away.
"Why are you running from me?"
Her voice faint from being too far away from me, She replied. "You're way too close that if you hold on too tight unto me, you'd lose me forever."
"But I m-miss you." I tried reaching for her again and she disappeared into thin air.
"Adeola!!!"
