"C'mon, Benny. Why'd you do that?" Kenny asked from the pitchers mound.

"A square, Benny! The kid's a square!" Squints said taking off his glasses.

"Okay! I-I'll get it!" Smalls yelled across the field. He went to go get the ball.

I saw Smalls run away from the fence with the ball.

"C'mon! Throw it in!" I heard Timmy say.

Smalls came running in on the field from the outfield with the ball in his hand.

"What the hell's he doing?" Ham asked. Kenny looked over at Smalls.

"I don't believe this." Ham said in shock. Benny just stood there with a shocked expression sitting on his face.

"Here." Smalls said putting the ball in Kenny's glove. "Sorry. Sorry." Smalls said before running back into the outfield. Kenny looked at his glove in shock and disbelief. Kenny then looked at Benny. Then Benny looked at me and I just shrugged. I ran into the outfield to Smalls as Benny followed.

"You can throw it, y'know." Benny said.

"N-no." Smalls said taking off his hat. "I-I can't." He said embarrassed. "I don't know how." He said. Benny and I just rolled our eyes and shook our heads. "Thanks for taking me here, but I think I'd better go." Smalls said sadly. "Hey. Hey. You think too much. I bet you get straight A's and shit, huh?" I said. "No, I got a B once. Well, actually it was an A- but it should've been a B" Smalls said. I just shook my head and laughed.

"Man, this is baseball. You gotta stop thinking, just have fun!" Benny said encouragingly. "I mean, if you were having fun you would've caught that ball!" I said and Benny just nodded along. "You ever have a paper route?" Benny asked. "Well, I helped a guy once." Smalls said. "Okay. Well, chuck it like would should throw a paper." Benny said. "When your arm get here, just let go." I said demonstrating the movements to throw a ball. "Just let go. It's that easy." Benny said. I just nodded along.

"H-how do I catch it?" Smalls said.

"Just stand there, and stick your glove out in the air," I say demonstrating how to put a glove up in the air. "He'll take care of it." I say patting Benny's shoulder. Benny just nods and we run back to our spots.

"It's about time, Benny. My clothes are going outta style!" Squints yelled.

"They already are Squints!" I yell back.

"Shut up!" Squints said annoyed.

"Told you, Benny." Ham said as Benny got back to home plate. Ham have Benny the ball.

"Smalls, throw to second!" Benny yelled so Smalls could hear him.

"Okay!" Smalls said. Bertram just shakes his head and sighs.

"Not again!" Squints said. Benny spits on the ball.

"Shut it, Squints." I say.

"This is a waste of time, Benny!" Squints said. I just roll my eyes. Scotty just puts his glove up in the air. And Benny hits in to him.

"Please catch it," I heard Smalls say. "Please catch it. Please catch it." Smalls repeated. "C'mon, Smalls." I mumble. I then heard something hit a glove. Benny and I eyes widen. He caught it! He really caught it! Squints rubs his glasses in amazement.

"Alright!" Benny and I say at the same time. I run to Benny and gave him a high five. Squints just shrugs. "He's alright." Squints says. Smalls then throws the ball to Bertram.

"Okay! Let's play some ball!" Bertram says. And we continue to play the game.

-walking to Smalls house-
-still your POV-

"See you later, Ham." I heard Benny say. "Eight O'clock." I say. "Eight O'clock, Smalls." Benny says.

"Y/n! wait! Your glove!" Smalls says. "Keep it, man." I say. "Thanks!" Smalls says running back to his house. "Oh, hey, Smalls!" Benny says. "Yeah?" Smalls questions. "Brings a tee-shirt and jeans tomorrow, okay?" Benny says. Smalls looks at his outfit. "Oh yeah." Smalls says. "Oh, hey, you got a fireplace?" I say looking around to see if anybody could hear me. "Yeah, why?" Smalls asks. "Throw that hat in there, man." I say flicking his hat. "Oh, well, you know, it was the only one I had." Smalls says. "Not anymore. Here. Wear my old hat." I say pulling out my old hat from my back pocket. "Thanks, y/n!" Smalls says running to his house. "Mom guess what?!" Smalls says.

"Damn, n/n. How many things you got in that pocket?" Benny says laughing. "Oh y'know. None important things." I say shrugging. Benny hugs me. I hug him back. "What was that for, Stalker?" I ask. "Oh, y'know." Benny says innocently. "Mhmmm. I'm sure I do." I say. "Bye, n/n!" Benny says. "Bye, Stalker." I say. I walk to my house which is next to Benny's. What a day.
