Prologue
In a lone alley on the outskirts of Seoul, a man with a strange gait trudged on towards the white decrepit building that loomed over the hill. The buildings around the street seemed to move as he went closer and closer until he reached the bottom of the stairs at the entrance. In his hand, a lone black garbage bag was held. The bag dripped liquid onto the stained white tiled floor and rolled towards the pavement. The man didn't seem to see the mess that he had created and took another step up the stairs, the black garbage bag making a crinkling noise as it moved—weighed down by the contents inside.
As he walked on upwards, he arrived in front of a familiar door. Made with yellowing pine, and cherry wood. He couldn't see past the fogged glasses attached to the door, but he knew that someone was waiting for him on the other side of that door.
With a resigned face, he held the door handle and unlocked it. The first thing that he noticed was the smell that wafted through the air. He could only explain the stench as metallic and burnt. Then, the molding beige walls welcomed him inside. There was no one in the makeshift lobby, nor the darkened hallway but the man felt like there were hundreds of eyes watching him as he finally stepped into the godforsaken place.
A breath or two—and then chaos.
The yellowed pine door, shut loudly covering the screams that came from inside.
