The pair of shiny shoes appeared in front of Roxy. She let out a cry when a hand tangled in her hair, snapping her head back to look into a single yellow eye. The other was covered by an eyepatch, red and lumpy scars of a claw on either side of it.

'You,' she hissed, a flicker of fight igniting inside of her.

The human body which belonged to the singular eye was tall and thin beneath his black suit. Gold rings adorned his fingers, along with a chain around his neck, and his dark hair was slicked back along his scalp with a thick gel, the ends brushing against the collar of his shirt. He crouched down in front of her, allowing her to see the hint of more scars peaking from his silk shirt.

'I'm glad you recognise me.' The man gave a sickening grin. 'I've been waiting for you and your sister for a long time. I'm sorry she's not conscious for the welcoming party.' He walked over to Cleo, nudging her limp body with the point of his shoe.

'Don't touch her!' Roxy grimaced against her injuries to crawl towards Cleo but Levi prevented her from doing so, giving her a swift kick to have her flattened against the floor.

'I am slightly disappointed with the pregnancy.' The man ran a long claw across Cleo's belly which housed the previous little life inside.

'I told you to not touch her!' Roxy screamed, making her lungs burn and her ears ring. Even the tough looking bodyguards winced at the volume. Abigail was pressed against the wall as if wishing it would swallow her up. She gave a vicious snarl, baring her human teeth at the sickening pirate. 'Why are you doing this? What do you want from us?'

'You and your sister are special she-wolves, Roxy.' The man looked at her admiringly with his yellow eye, like he'd just one a valuable prize. 'You see, I'm not a patient man. I wanted to go in for the kill, to tear that small town pack Saltwater Woods apart and take you both. However, I knew I'd have to be careful.' Suddenly, he was in front of her, crouching down to run a yellow claw along the underside of her jaw. 'You were worth the wait.'

'That doesn't answer anything,' Roxy spat.

'That powerful Alpha of yours hasn't figured it out?' The rogue stood with his head cocked, wickedness glinting in his eye.

'I'm certain I know what you want us for but I don't know why,' retorted Roxy hotly. 'I will never give you want you want. I will kill myself before giving you an heir so you can cause havoc against well-meaning wolves.'

The rogue's jaw hardened, his ring-clad fingers curling into his palm. 'Clever girl does know what I want.' He crouched down in front of her again. 'However, Roxy, you do not get a say whether you want to do it or not. Alpha Winters isn't here to protect you anymore. I am your Alpha now, I am your soulmate, and you will respect me the way you did him.'

Roxy gave a whimper, her stomach twisting, as he ran a rough tongue up the side of her face. 'Then take only me. Let my sister go. She's useless to you anyway, right?' Bile rose in her throat but she forced herself to continue playing the part, noticing that his single eye had ignited with intrigue. 'I'll be your Luna. Your only Luna. Please, please let my sister go.'

'An honourable thing to do,' murmured the rogue pirate.

Roxy's stomach twisted. 'Alpha Winters never cared for me, despite the bonds that tie us. I want to be loved by my Alpha. But I don't want to share. I want you to choose me. I want to be your chosen one.' She pinched her eyes shut as a tear dribbled down her face. 'Choose me...'

'Abaddon.'

'Abaddon.'

Roxy watched, her heart in her throat and her stomach tumbling nervously as he paced the room in thought with his gold rings pressed to his lips. The thought of what she'd proposed nauseated her more than anything and she wished she had the strength to scoop Cleo up and leap out the window, running them both to freedom. But they were a long way from help. Those who cared for them didn't have an inkling of where they were. But Cleo had always made sacrifices for Roxy as they'd grown up. She loved her sister, and her sister was the only one who loved her. She would do anything for her. Besides, she had a family to return to, a life to live. Roxy had nothing but a soulmate who didn't want her.
