*Hayes's P.O.V.*

It's been a year..

Since I've seen her.

I miss her smile... her laugh...

I miss everything about her.

I miss the way her nose scrunched up when Miranda and Christina passed in the hallways.

I miss how we used to talk sitting on our special tree. Writing words on opposite sides so I couldn't see.

I walk by that tree daily... and still see the carvings.

I will always see the carvings.

I'm miserable without her. Only if she felt the same way...

*Alyssa's P.O.V.*

I can't believe it's been a year..

A year since I saw my friends...

A year since I saw him.

I guess you can say I know what's happening back home.. But the thing is.. I don't.

I want to see if Megan and Tyler are still dating.

I want to be there when Shawn asks Annie out on there first date.

I want to be a good friend to Hayes. It hurts me to know that I'm not there for him, but I have to live my life. I can't always be in his shadows...

I currently finished my first album. One of the songs is a duet by Shawn and I.

I was happy to see Shawn again. I asked him about how everyone is doing.

The weird thing is..
He never answered my questions about Hayes.

*Flashback*

"Shawn!" I yell as he turned around to face me.

"Alyssa!" He yells engulfing me into a hug.

"Ohmigosh it's so nice to see you again!" I smile.

"You too! How've you been?" He asks returning a smile.

"I've been great! I'm so excited to sing a duet with you". I reply.

"Yeah I can't wait! I've always wanted to sing with you". He exclaimed.

"With me?!? I wanted to sing with you! Anyways, how's everyone back home?" I ask curiously.

"Um.. good. It's Different." He replied.

"What do you mean?"I retort.

"Well, Hayes has to bring a baby everywhere he goes... so, not that much fun." He chuckled.

"Oh yeah! How's Hayes? I've seen pictures on his Instagram him and his child". I question.

"Uhh.." He reaches into his pocket saying "I've got to take this."

"Shawn, your phone wasn't eve-" Before I could finish he was gone.

*End of Flashback*

I got to admit.. I do miss Hayes.

I will always miss Hayes. He's been in my life since forever. At first he felt like a brother to me..

But than I found out cooties didn't exist...

I honestly don't know if I still have feelings for this boy. I guess Ill never will find out...
