I LOST MY JOB. GREAT. I have to admit, it was my mistake for the wrong orders. I'm basically almost causing a death on some random rich lady and I could be living behind bars for that.
As a reimbursement, I have my pay deducted 50% for the damage I've caused. The machine apparently broke because it kissed the water but thankfully by turning off the circuit can reverse the damage.
But still, I lost my job and got paid less than I was supposed to get. My mom has no idea at all regarding this matter and I am not planning on telling her anytime soon. Our financial status is not that bad but if I didn't do a part time job, I'll be short on money and savings.
Now that I lost my job, I came to a realization that my main purpose for working is to be able to collect money so I can afford living expenses after high school. I'm planning on pursuing my study away from my home but I guess that would be just a dream as of now.
I'll continue my desire by searching for another part time job in the time being. Screw it, the café paid me well though.
The night after that incident, I remembered bawling my eyes out because that was my first ever tears that I held that day. The dinner I promised to take with my mom was not fulfilled as I no longer have any appetite to even shove a drop of water into my body.
I have to go to many places including the police station to manage everything. I'm just too busy to think of other things except for the Lady that can't seem to stop with her summon. Few days have passed and now that everything is back to normal, I finally get a grasp of my coping mechanism.
And another side of me clicks when I see Eunwoo walking to the library with a few books in his hands. He seems pretty busy but I understand, his debate competition is around the corner and everyone is chattering about it.
National Debate Competition; the highly anticipated competition among all the schools in Seoul. Our school came in second place last year because apparently, our opponent had gone through an international debate in Australia.
It was too bad because it will be the last time the seniors that represent our school will join any competition before he pursues his studies overseas.
Now that Eunwoo is representing, everyone is hyping about it and that includes me.
"Did you know when the debate competition is happening?" I question as Eunwoo slowly vanishes from my sight. Byul shrugged her shoulders, having no idea just like how I am. "Not sure, but I heard it's happening this week."
Rachel Yu hence interrupts, "Yeah, my boyfriend organized the place where the event will take place and he told me it will be tomorrow."
Byul and I exchanged glances. "Friday? Are you sure?"
"Yeah, around 5 to 8 PM" She informs, her perfectly drawn eyebrows raised in a convincing manner.
Both of my ears perk up at the time setting, it will end at 8 PM and our Korean Literature extra class starts at the same time. "We should go and watch, this is our last time watching these kinds of competitions." I tell Byul yet at the same time, assuring myself I am there to watch the competition and not Eunwoo.
But deep down we both know it's not the case.
"Sure Nami, I'll accompany you to see your soon-to-be boyfriend alright?" Her words cause me to play-vomit. I liked Eunwoo, yes I do but him becoming my boyfriend? Uhm, I don't really think to that extent, but if I'm to be given a chance.
Why not?
Right.
"Wait, YOU have a crush on him?" Rachel emphasizes the word 'YOU' as if me liking him is unrealistic.
