Zombot Prowler (New Side Story)

So I've been playing a lot of Black Ops II Zombies with one of my good friends and it gave me an idea. So basically it's the Zombot arc but not full of plot armor and other stupidity! (Opening a portal to space and somehow picking up a virus before yeeting it through said portal? Uh... Yeah, no thanks. I'd much rather read a Mephiles X Neglected reader. I dunno if one exists, that was just a joke. I mean I rather would read one than- okay, I'll just shut up with this.) so I've been drawing some concept art on my new sketch book I got. This thing is nearly a third bigger than my old one, lol. And one of the concepts was that the Metal Virus had evolved and just like how evolution works in real life, there's upsides and downsides for it. It now has a central intelligence leading it, so it can fight smarter, and now has the ability to create it's own monsters. It however lost it's cheese touch ability in the process (yes I actually just called it that, what ya gonna do (Y/N), sue me!? P-please don't  I'm broke!) I thought it was (one of) the stupidest plot device(s) ever and removed it. Anyways, one of these monsters is the Zombot Prowler...

Decided not to color the body since Zombots are like skittles with their colors

Decided not to color the body since Zombots are like skittles with their colors. The original idea I got from the Hellhounds in Call of Duty zombies. As for the looks, definitely took some cues from the Wendigo. If you don't know what a Wendigo is, they're a native American spirit representing famine and hunger. And usually with pictures you'll see a deer skull and that inspired the little "face plate" the Prowler has.

Here's an image of one I found on Steam

Prowlers also have the name "Teufelshund" which is German for Devil Dog

Also had an idea for a "horde mode" for a Sonic game where you'd have to hold off waves of Zombots for a set amount of time. And every couple waves, Prowlers would be sent. And where the wave counter would usually be (lower left corner of screen) would be their little Emblem indicating that you and your friends better be ready!

But instead of teleporting in like Hellhounds, they crawl through vents around the map mostly, cackling as they attempt to surprise attack you. Best strategy? Get in a corner, flame wispon recommended. Why a corner? Look, these guys are fast, okay!? Maybe not as fast as Sonic, but ya wouldn't be playin' as him in this mode anyways! Oh, and I know not everyone plays COD (which I understand, not a game for everyone) so here's what the Hellhounds look like.

Fun fact: the first Hellhound used to be a normal dog named Fluffy

Fun fact: the first Hellhound used to be a normal dog named Fluffy. Then it got put into a portal where it wound up in hell and turned into... That thing. And then it had puppies!

Yeah, crazy I know. Anyways, onto that new story! So it'd be a side story where it's a "What if" for Shadow Forces where Eggman winds up releasing the Metal Virus during the battle of Park Avenue. Pwetty cwazy wight? Also some of the characters are very different, like Arnec. He has a completely new design and backstory just for this.

Random fun fact of the day: I'm part Native American myself, so the Wendigo thing is kinda fitting in a way, lol.
