Yeri opened the door and Mark immediately walked towards her with a bouquet of flowers, champagne and a gift.
Yeri stared at it and on cue she felt a barrage of tears escape from her eyes. Those are the same flowers he always give to her in their anniversary, wearing his biggest grin he hand the bouquet to her and shuffle her hair, earning a groan of annoyance from Yeri.
"Ugly crybaby" He jokingly say and seated on the sofa, making himself at home. On the other hand Yeri replaced the flowers she have last week with the flowers Mark bought for her.
"Nah, you look uglier than I am when crying. I can not beat you there" She scoffed and look at him. She knew she shouldn't be picking a fight with him right now since it was her who made the coupon but she can't help it that was part of their normal conversation and that just shows how much she missed it. In response, Mark leaned his back against the chair and raises a bottle of champagne grinning from ear to ear.
"Yah love, I thought we are going on a date?" she said.
"We are, we are going to date here that is why I brought drinks and ramyeon!" Mark proudly bring out the plastic bag full of different noodles. She shakes her head and laugh at how she expected. Of course this is Mark.
He noticed her body language and giggle at how she responded, As much as he love to bring her outside he can't there is not much fancy restaurant available in the middle of pandemic. It will just be a hassle.
"Okay give them to me so I can cook it" She reached her hands out only to receive a slap with the squared-gift he have. Earning an unsure look from her.
"I'll take care of it, all you have to do is to unbox my gift, this was suppose to be for your birthday last year but I am not able to come so here it is. Belated birthday gift, love" He smiled and kissed the top of her head before going to the kitchen preparing their food.
Yeri quickly unwrapped the gift and stunned to see a new novel of Jerry Spinelli the 'Stargirl'. Eventually it sinked in to her and jumps multiple times out of too much joy.

Mark watch her from the kitchen door and gave himself a little pat. 'We did it, pal. I am paid from my months of absence'
Yeri being the enthusiactic girl she is, startled Mark on her surprise hug and constant thank you's, making him jump too and now the two of them is jumping in circles like mad people.
