Chapter Six - The Star

Mizuki P.O.V.

"Have you contacted them?"

I'm walking out from my office, talking to the person that sits at the front area.

"Yes, Ms. Hoshiko. They will be here tomorrow at 8."

"Okay, good. Thanks, Nina. You can go home now. Be sure to be on time tomorrow."

I say to her which she bows slightly at me.

"I'll get going first, Ms. Hoshiko."

Before she leaves, she turns back and points at the couch area.

"Just a reminder Mr. Akashi has been waiting for you, Ms. Hoshiko."

I turn around and find Takeomi leaning on the couch while smoking a cigarette.

"Why are you waiting here, Takeomi kun?"

I ask, totally forgot that he's here.

"Well, it's nice to see you working hard as usual. Ms. Hoshiko."

He chuckles.

"Let's go. I'm ready anyway."

I signal him to get up from his seat.

Together we walk out from the second floor that now I'm using as my office area. Mikey has given me a secretary to help me on the paper works and a driver aka bodyguard to take me moving around the city as he required me to do so. It has been exactly a year since I agreed to be working for him. The others are inviting me to have dinner and karaoke as the celebration.

"Which restaurant are we going?"

I ask when he's driving away from our building's parking area.

"You'll see."

Takeomi drives into the main road.

Soon we reach a building and stop at the valet.

"Is Mikey coming?"

I ask when I'm off from the car.

"This is his favorite's place."

Takeomi smiles.

"That's right."

We walk into the building and greeted by a hostess. She takes us into one of the private room.

"Woohoo, our star is coming."

Rindou shouts when he sees us coming in.

My family surname is associated with the word Star. He often addresses me as star since he knew the meaning. All of them are sitting around the table in the middle of the room with Mikey in the middle, waving at me when our eyes meet.

"I thought you'll be coming back next week."

I walk up to him and give him a quick hug.

"It's your first anniversary celebration, I must be here."

"Mikey is being biased. He never treated us like this."

Ran teases me when I sit between him and Rindou.

"There's definitely a hidden agenda. Be careful, Hotaru chan."

Rindou whispers into my ear, making me laugh.

I meet Sanzu's eyes when I look ahead. So he's back with Mikey. Both of them has been away for almost a week due to a project that we dealt with our overseas business partner. I smile when he's playfully wink at me.

"Let's bring the dishes in."

Mikey starts the banquet. We are happily eating and talking during the meal. After we done eating, we move to the other side of the room which has been decorated as an entertaining room. Rindou and Ran start to sing and dance. While we drink and talking about the meeting that Mikey and Sanzu had been gone to. Some of the hostess then come and join us.
