"Now let's make a plan" Lisa said while placing both of her hands on her waist "We only have less than 23 hours so your time is limited, you should think carefully about the things that you want to do. Like a bucket list or something"
I placed my right hand on my chin as I try to think of things I want to do
"Hmmmmmm" I pursed my lips as I think
She impatiently tapped her foot as she wait for my response "Come on, I don't have all day"
"Ummmm, obviously I have to see my family and friends first and my neighbor who gives me tteok-bokki and......"
"And???" she sighed
"Can I ask questions?" I looked at her with full of hope
"Fine, fire away"
"Can I touch people? Or Hug them?"
"You can't"
"Well that's a bummer" I sighed
"But I can"
"Oh.... Okay. Uh.. What if I do something bad right now like revenge, is it still counted on my sins? I mean I'm already dead right? So am I going to hell?"
"That's a good question" she beamed "Actually, no it's not counted" her smile faded and she looked at me "I love the way you think, but if you're going to ask me to do something for you, it's a no. I can't risk my promotion anymore, technically I'm risking it right now since I'm helping you because you're such a twat!"
"You agreed, so it's not entirely my fault!" I replied and stomped my feet as I walk away
"I don't have time for your tantrums lady, let's go now or else you'll be double dead"
I turned to her and glared as I walk towards her, I saw her gulp hard but she maintains her posture and eye contact. I still have the effect, I mentally smiled and pat myself
I grabbed her collar and pulled her towards me "Let's go" I whispered at her ear and turned back
"Where are we going?" Lisa asked. We're now on our way to my apartment to visit my neighbor who gives me tteok-bokki
"My neighbor" I replied
"You mean your tteok-bokki supplier"
"Whatever floats your boat"
"Why are we walking? Why don't we ride a bus?"
"So we could save fare besides it's near and it's only 45 minutes walking distance--" Oh right, I'm dead...
"I-I can't believe you" she's holding the bridge of her nose trying not to burst
"Sorry, old habits" I replied but it came out like a whisper. I don't wanna add fuel to the fire
"Where's the nearest bus station?"
"This way" I gestured
"Are you sure?"
"Yup"
We went to the bus stop and ride the bus, good thing we exactly arrived on the schedule
"What about your family?" she asked
"They're in Daegu"
"What?!" shock evident on her face "So we still have to travel there?"
"Why? Can you teleport?"
"I c-can't" she then looked down "How long does it take to travel?"
"Uh... 3-4 hours max"
"You sound so chill"
"It's because I have you"
I knocked on my neighbors door when we arrived and mentally slapped myself for doing that. I heard her chuckle. I looked at her and rolled my eyes "I'm not used to being dead, okay. It's my first time and my brain refuses to register the thought"
She shook her head and tries to suppress her laughter "We can pass through"
"That's an invasion of privacy"
"Don't you want to say goodbye?" I just nod my head and followed her when she pass through the door
I saw my neighbor Grandma Hae-sook cooking tteok-bokki while swaying her hips as she listen to some music. She took the ladle and tasted the tteok-bokki she's cooking "I'm sure Irene will love this" she smiled and hummed to the song she's listening to
I felt my tears fell as I stare at grandma Hae-sook, why is the world so cruel? I tried hugging her but my whole body pass through her but I keep trying and trying waiting for a miracle to happen but nothing changed. I sobbed at the side covering my mouth as I try to suppress my tears
"Hey" Lisa softly said and gently rubbed my back "I can hug her for you" she then stood up and went to Grandma Hae-sook to hug her. I saw Grandma Hae-sook stiffen and mumbled something like 'why is it cold here?' Lisa then let go of the hug and went to me
"Now hug me" she commanded and I obliged. I hugged her and sobbed again "Shhhh it's okay, I'm here" she caressed my back and we stayed like that for atleast 5 minutes
"Thanks" I said and let go of her "I'm sorry, I'm so dramatic" I laugh at my self
"You're crazy, you know. Minutes ago you were crying now you're laughing" she smiled at me and I swear I felt my heart skipped tho I'm dead
"Well, you just gotta deal with this in the next.........."
"21 hours, 38 minutes, and 47 seconds" she replied
"21 hours, 38 minutes, and 46 seconds. I'll be out of your hair then"
"Can't wait!" she sarcastically said and stretched both of her arms "Next stop?"
"My friends on work"
"Are you ready to go now?" she carefully asked
"Yes" I exhaled heavily "Are you really not going to help me do some revenge? Because I swear I only got a few list of names" I asked trying to lift the mood
She chuckled and looked at me "Depends on my mood"
"And your mood is?"
"Actually I feel kind of light right now"
"Is that a yes?"
"Depends"
"You're confusing"
"I'll give you my answer later" she caressed my hair and looked at me "So, let's go?"
"Let's go" I replied and I followed her through the door, but before I pass through I looked at Grandma Hae-sook one last time "Goodbye Grandma"
