Make Me Stay : Ten

Maybe I am just really carried away like she is last night. Maybe, I just misinterpret my own feelings and was too overwhelmed when I got the chance to see her and be with her again

Right, it's all just because I missed her

"Chaeng?"

My eyes landed to Somi who's now leaning on the doorframe wearing an apron

"Mmmm?"

"I'm almost done cooking our breakfast-"

"Okay,I'll be down in a minute"

"Okay,hurry up"

I heaved a deep sigh and fixed myself. Get a hold of yourself,Chaeyoung. You already had a wife and she's waiting for you to get back home soon so stop thinking and doing nonsense

Stop creating problems that may hurt you and Minari

I faced the mirror and tapped my cheeks

Chaeyoung. Nothing more and nothing less.. "

I've been staring at Somi who's now comfortably sleeping on the couch. We decided to binge watch some random movies but after an hour and a half, here she is, sleeping peacefully like a baby

I can't help myself but to keep on staring at her innocent face

Her long eyelashes,her pointed nose and her plump red lips

She's so gorgeous

Staring at her makes me remember all the memories we had back then. We were so happy and contented with each other but unfortunately, it ended

It all ended because of me and my selfishness

I tucked some loose hair of Somi behind her ear making her move a bit and suddenly pouted afterwards

I smiled. She still had that habit of pouting when she's sleeping and she's so adorable

"I guess you hasn't changed a bit,Somi. It's still you, the old Somi I know. I just wish you'll find someone to take care of you again "

"mmm..chae-"

"Sleepwell,Somi..sleepwell.."

I carefully laid Somi on the couch making sure she's comfortably sleeping before pecking a kiss on her temple. I gotta go somewhere and clear my mind for me to focus on the reason why I was even here in the first place

I hailed a cab then went to a certain cafe that Somi and I used to go before.

The place is still cozy, warm and welcoming like it was before. There's a little changes like some new paintings that hanged on the wall, some indoor lovely fresh plants and other stuffs that even compliments the cafe even more

This place used to be so good before but now it's even better,even cozier and comfortable to stay

"Hi,ma'am..Good day and welcome to Mahru Folk's cafe!"

I suddenly stopped checking the area when a cheerful voice interrupted me in a kind way

I looked at the woman who's sweetly smiling to me while wearing a black apron and a cap both printed with "Mahru Folk's cafe"

I smiled back at the crew while secretly studying her physical features. She looks so familiar,really familiar

"You're a korean,right?"

"Y-yes ma'am"

She smiled once again and poof! I finally remembered her!

"Y-Yeoreum??!"

"H-huh??"

"Yah! Lee Jinsuk! It's me, Chaeyoung. Son Chaeyoung"

"Wait,C-chaeng?? Oh my God, I-Is that really you?"

"Yeah,the one and only-"

"Damn! I missed you!"

She immediately hugged me back which made me hug her back too. God,I miss this woman!

Lee Jinsuk / Yeoreum was my schoolmate back in the middle school. We became good friends back then.

"I missed you too,Yeoreum. How are you?"

"Me? Oh well..I'm still gorgeous and lovely. So d'you already wanna date me?"

I burst out laughing so hard. She's still so funny just like the old day.

"Yah! Stop laughing,you dimwit!"

"Yah! Lee-"

I was stunned when she kissed me on my cheeks out of nowhere. I guess she still had her habit of kissing me on my cheeks to stop me from talking

"Ooops! Sorry, I need to work now, honey"

"Wait,how about my-"

"I perfectly know what you want,honey. I'll be back after few minutes and oh,it's on the house"

"Silly"

I sat on a table next to a huge painting with a smile on my face. I can't still believe that I'll met Yeoreum here out of all the places that we could possibly meet

I didn't even knew she's here. I thought she's still in Seoul pursuing her dream of becoming an idol

I watched her as she moves around. She still had that gracefulness and cute vibes. She's still that gorgeous and perfect Yeoruem that I know back in the middle school

Lee Jinsuk.

She's actually my first love and my first heartbreak. She's one of the reasons why I don't believe in love long time ago before Mina came into my life

She just couldn't risk our friendship 'cause it means a lot to her and the fact that she came from a strict and high profile family scares her as well

So In the end, hurting us both is the only thing we got back then.

I'm hurt by the fact that we can't be and she's hurt knowing that I am hurting, that she's the reason why I am in pain

I guess, we were really better off as friends. Besides, we just can't be and we will never be.

I heaved a sigh and widely smiled when I saw her coming with a tray on her hands wearing that smile that I always remember and adore

Lee Jinsuk, it's really good to see you again..
