Chapter 3:The Broken Wing

Narrator:this is Phoenix’s origin story after becoming Phoenix she was flying around Gotham as Phoenix her superhero alter ego shapeshifted into a Phoenix  

Random person:*sees fast moving object*it’s a plane

Another random person:it’s a comet

Phoenix:*turns into a human*I am neither simply your humble protector of Gotham City Phoenix well gotta fly bye*turns back into a Phoenix and flies away**in head*I almost forgot how fun this is*swopes low*huh*hears girl starting to yell**turns to human*who-

Girl:let go of me stop it leave him alone

Two face:let’s let the coin decide shall we tails I stop heads I don’t*flips coin*heads*goes to swing bat*

Phoenix:*takes it from him*hey pick on someone your one size*ties him up for the police*there that takes care of that*turns around*now then-

Narrator:the girl runs over to boy who was being hurt by two face picks him up and runs away

Phoenix:hey wait*sees girl in shadows holding the boy*hey it’s ok I won’t-

Girl:*kicks her in the shin*stay away I won’t let you hurt him 

Phoenix:ow hey now that was uncalled for wait come out of the shadows please

Girl/Cora:*sets boy down in the shadows*you’ll be ok*comes out of the shadows*

Phoenix:I don’t know rather to be relieved or concerned

Cora:y-you should be afraid if you even think of hurting him or me

Phoenix:calm down Cora I’m not going to hurt you or him

Cora:h-how do you know my name and how do I know I can trust you when you hide

Phoenix/Karai:*takes masks off*hey big sis did you get lost

Cora:K*hugs her*I’m glad it's you and yeah my phone died then we got lost

Karai:is Casey alright 

Casey:y-yeah I think so for the most part*holds right arm*got some bandages

Karai:yeah*wraps his arm*can you stand

Narrator:Casey stands but nearly falls before Karai catches him and helps him stand

Karai:easy easy you ok Casey

Casey:y-yeah I just have a Killer headache but I think I'll be ok

Karai:just take it slow I can help you walk if you need 

Casey:can I rest first

Karai:yeah*sits him against a wall**communicator goes off*Cora stay with him I’ll be back

Cora:wait where are you going

Karai:just have to take this call don’t worry I’m just going around the corner*puts eye mask back on*

Cora:ok just don't go to far incase I your help

Karai:I won’t*smiles*walks around corner and opens communicator*hello

Batman:Phoenix where have you been why didn't you check in

Phoenix:relax bats I was on patrol

Batman:that is no excuse you could have been hurt or captured or worse and none of us would have known

Phoenix:please calm down I'm fine I had a situation with two face ok

Batman:*wordplayingly*that is still not a good reason
