Chapter 5 [The Riff Off]

*Beca's POV*

"Welcome to the Riff Off!" The familiar words rang through my ears. It was this time of year again. And this time, we were going to win, or at least not lose on a stupid technicality. I couldn't see the High notes, or whatever they were, guess they couldn't make it. Jesse and the Treble Makers were too our right, The BU Harmonics to our left and the Sonics opposite. 

"And the first category is...TV themes!" 

"Oh!" Stacie cried and ran forward, only to be beaten by Jesse. "Shit" She mumbled as she returned. 

So no one told you life was going to be this way. 
Your job's a joke, you're broke, you're love life's DOA. 
It's like you're always stuck in second gear,

The crowd cheered as we finished. The BU Harmonics were eliminated for not coming up with anything. Our whole group had confident smiles plastered on their faces. This was going well.

"And the next category is...Songs Ruined by Glee." 

**Rheed's POV**

"..Songs Ruined by Glee."

Connor took one look at me and I knew exactly what he was thinking. I gave him a slight nod indicating him to take the lead.
