*Readers pov*

Billy: Max!!! Get the door!

Max: Fine!!

She was fixing her broken skateboard with tape but dropped it as she angrily left for the door.

I am on the couch as Billy works out with the TV on with some good music.

I hear Max close the door as she gets out.

You: I'll pump iron with you once I finish my smoke.

I say as I light a fag in my mouth. I puff in as the smoke comes out. A sense of refreshment comes in my lungs.

Billy: Shut Up. Do you hear Max?

You: Let the girl be, Billy.

Billy: I said shut up.

He drops his weights and flicks my forehead. I swear under my breath as I hold my forehead in pain.

I get sudden flashbacks of how they used to inject me with shit that would make my head hurt from headaches.

Billy: Hey! HEY!!

I snap out of it.

You: Huh?

Billy: One. You zoned out a bit.

Billy goes to the door, abandoning the convo, as he waits for Max to come back from outside the door.

Max comes in and closes the door, quickly aiming to go into her room. Although, Billy stops her.

Billy: Who was it?

He says in a psychopathic way towards Max.

You: Billy. Don't do anything stupid.

He deeply breaths in as Max says some shitty lie that even I can't believe. Billy can tell too but does nothing as Max goes around him into her room.

Billy looks at me confused and I shrug.

Billy: Go on then, do it for me.

You: Fine. She's up to nothing, let's hope.

I follow into her room. I enter the room to see her open the window and hop on a kids bike.

You: Woah. Now this is a certified hood classic.

Max: shit..

I jump out the window while grabbing my skateboard.

Lucas: One?! What are you doing in Max's hous-

You: Lucas?! Never knew a punk like you could bring my sister into trouble.

Max: Book it.

Lucas: What?

Max: One is heartless, Lucas. BOOK IT.

He quickly rides on the grass as I run behind him until we get on road where I drop my skateboard and jump on it.

You: C'mon.

I Ollie over a fence and line up right next to them.

Lucas: OH SHIT. HOLY FUCKING SHIT.

He tries to paddle faster but I am still behind them.

Max: Look, Y/N, I just need him to show me something.

You: Pfft. Like hell.

Max is sat on the back as I skate right next to her.

After a whole lot of chasing we appear on a hill with scrap all around and a trailer in the middle. Or is it a bus?

Once we get they Max jumps off as I drop off my board and stepping on it making it fling onto my arms.

She quickly pushes me but I don't fall.

Max: You fucker, you don't give up!

You: You talk about these dense mother fuckers all day. I wanna see whats up.

Max: Nothing to do with you.

Lucas chips in

Lucas: Yeah, One.

You: Shut the fuck up, Lucas.

He shuts up real quick.

Max pushes me again.

Max: These are my friends! You will not take them away! You're worse than Billy.

Woah, the fuck did I do to deserve this?

You: Max...

She pushes me again.

Max: No! Ever since you came in that door you fuck things up more than they are! You're in the way of everyone!

I stay quiet.

Max: Everyday I see you I regret ever meeting you!!

She pushes me again.

Ouch.

I look down on the floor in anger, frustration and pain.

She regrets what she meant, calming down.

Max: One..Im sorry I didn't mea-

You: No.

I breathe in.

You: You're right. Fuck you.

I turn around to walk away but Dustin jumpscares me.

Dustin: HEY, ONE!

He shouts with a toothless smile.

You: Fuck out of my way, Toothless.

I push past him and walk away but he says something that stops me.

Dustin: We know who you are!

You: What?

Dustin: You're a test subject. Right? You have powers. Like Eleven.

I turn around to them.

You: Eleven? Powers? Test subject? Pfft. You are off your mind.

HOW THE FUCK DOES HE KNOW?!

Dustin: Look. We found Eleven bald when she escaped, like you. Her name is a number, like you.

You: Nerd, listen here, you can go fuck off with your Eleven.

Lucas: Stop playing dumb!

You: I want to meet this "Eleven"

Dustin: We dont know if shes alive or here.

You: Pfft, then you are a dumbass.

Dustin: Why are you so quiet Max?

He says to her.

Dustin: What the fuck, what are you doing here Max?!

Lucas: I brought her over. I told her everything.

Dustin: You broke the code!

Lucas: You wanted to tell her!

Dustin: Yeah, except I didn't!
