Broken Blades: SCP Fanfic

Prologue

Disclaimer: This is a fanfic of SCP and Warp Hunter, this is not something I will be updating a lot as this is just something I will write when I'm bored, who knows, this might become something I would actually seriously write in the future. I do NOT own SCP or anything related to it, most images go to their respective owners, I do, however, own Warp Hunter.

Location: Cairo, Egypt

Date: 6-15-2020

Time: 11:37 AM

Ren ran across the cold black obsidian floor of the fortress, it soon changed to tan sandstone, however. Jacob, Tyler, Hailey, and June followed close behind him, making sure to avoid any Fallen soldiers. Ren zoomed across the ground, his hand reached to his sword hilt, being ready at any moment, a team of orcs and elves attempted to abush them, but in a blink of an eye, were quickly dispatched, arrows rained down on them with extreme precision, and a red flame shot towards them.

"How much further Ren?" Hailey aked

"About a kilometer or 2 more" He replied, suddenly his radio went off,

"This is command to Alpha, do you read me, over"

"This is Alpha, we read you loud and clear command, over" He said

"You guys got 20 minutes 'till an Excalibur hits, I advise you guys get out of there fast" They replied

They halted to a stop and looked to the radio, "Command, are you sure?" Tyler said

"If you don't get out of there, well you know how strong an Excalibur is Agent Tyler" they replied

Ren looked at Tyler and back to the radio, "Look, we still need to find Mortem Vita, he still has the Shado-" he was cut off by a bullet whizzing past his face. "Shit" he said. They all started firing their pistols, but it was no use against the body armor of these Fallens. "Command, we got HAMSs on our hand, I don't think we'll get out anytime soon"

"Dammit" the operator replied

As the bullets whizzed passed them, Alpha hid behind walls, only to be pinned down by the gun fire, Ren looked at Hailey and Jacob, they nodded to each other and swiftly jumped out from behind the walls, Jacob formed a shield from his cards and hailey slammed her spear into the ground, splitting it part, Ren jumped out and slashed at them, a huge column of fire formed, engulfing the hallway, but just before the fire hit the HAMSs, a few bullets managed to hit Ren in the abdomen, he silently winced in pain as the lead pierced his flesh. Just then, arrows rained down, hitting the HAMSs dead center. Alpha team looked back to see the Hunters of Maidenhood there. They looked at each other, and thanked the Hunters.

Ren looked at Hailey, June, Jacob, and Tyler, "You guys should go, you heard command, an Excalibur is coming soon."

They looked at Ren in shock, Hailey stepped forward, "Ren" she said, "Were not leaving you behind, you know that"

"You guys won't, don't worry, I'll be there soon, I just need to take care of something" He said. Hailey looked at him again, this time her eyes were filled with doubt, "You know we know what you mean when you say that" She said

"Listen, we're a team, we don't leave anyone behind" Jacob said.

"Don't worry, I'll be out before you know it, unless you're doubting me" He said in a soft joking manner, Hailey walked up to him and put here arms around him, she hugged him as her eyes were near tears, "As much as we don't trust what your about to do, promise us you'll be back" she replied

"I promise, I always come back don't I?" He said. They all looked at Ren one more time, his blue eyes shining with determination, they ran to the exit as the Excalibur was coming soon.

"You're not coming back are you?" Said one of the Hunters, it was Adira, someone who admired Ren.

Ren pulled up his shirt to reveal multiple stab and bullet wounds, "Doesn't look like it, Even if I die, I'll be the one to confront him" He said. Adira walked to him and unclipped something from her neck, it was a necklace, "If you're not coming back, then I would feel better if you have this when you die" she said, she walked up to him and they clasped hands one last time, she pulled him into a hug and patted him on the back, "We might meet again in the afterlife" she said

"The question is which one" He replied

Adira and the Hunters looked at Ren, "Hunters" She yelled, "Let's move!" They ran towards the exit. Ren walked through the hallway, his hair was drenched in blood, and his tattered shirt ripped open to reveal many scars of battle. He neared a huge door and shoved it open, inside was a man in a black and purple suit wearing a spider mask of the same colors

"Mortem Vita" Ren said

"Ren Mugutsu, I had been expecting you to be here for 600 years now" Mortem replied. They stared at each other with a gaze that only had one intent; death. Mortem Vita took his mask off to reveal a man in his 30s, only he had been alive since the 1500s.

"Then we shall let it begin, Godhunter"
