During the summer vacation after Kathir and Mullai won the inter state dance competition for children a tragedy struck the Family in the form of Pandian's demise. 

But before that both Pandian and Murugan had pledged the documents for their mill and the store in a local bank and the amount was given to a distant relative for a large plot. It was registered in the name of all the younger children . 

The problem was the land while large and fertile was not well maintained and they didnt know about it before hand.

There she told her plan to the four of them.

In almost all the schools there is a scheme of sponsoring students with financial problems.  But even for that the student muat attend the regular classes.  But Kathir was not ok with that.

Thats why mulla proposed  another idea to the Principal.

Kathir could be a a
Sponsored student but instead of attending regular classes he would daily go to Senthils home and study there. If he has any doubts he will ask help from the Principal. 

The Principal who had a soft spot for the four children was more than happy with this arrangement.

Also he assured Kathir and Mullai that he will not inform their family about this arrangement as they were sure it will hurt the family if they came to know about this sacrifice.

When the results came as always Kathir was the school topper and Senthil
Came second.

But the Principal lied to the family for Kathirs sake and told them that he scored only average marks. 

This helped him maintain the argument that he wants to help in the Pandian stores and want to discontinue his studies.

When it was time for the admission process both Senthil and Kathir decided to join for Computer science group for HSS.

By then both the girls had also decided to join the same course when its time for their Higher studies.
