"I seriously do not want to be here..." I mumbled to the mother who was driving me to Capeside where my grandma and sister Jen were staying. Jen, had been here for about a couple hours. She drove up with my dad and I drove with my mom. They weren't doing so well relationship wise and apparently they couldn't be in the same car together.

"I know you don't. You've been reminding me for the past 10 hours." My mother yawned looking in the car mirror. We had pulled up beside this row of houses which had a creek running down all of them. It was quite beautiful, "but we're here. And your grandma needs you and Jen. It'll be good for you." She said as I opened the door and began walking to the house not bothering to say goodbye to her.

I sighed heavily and knocked on the door gently waiting awkwardly for the door to be answered; I was met with Grams.

"Hello, Kelly, dear. Do come in!" She said gently pushing me into the house. It was clean as a whistle and filled with biblical items... typical. I didn't read into God and all that much, but I did believe in it. I just didn't go to church or anything.

"Hey, Kel." Jen said coming down the stairs. I smiled and waved at her still taking my surroundings in. This would be a long day for me since I knew absolutely nothing about this town. And of course I had to go to school out here... with kids I didn't even know.

"Grams.. I met the Leery's just a couple minutes ago. They're pretty nice." Jen announced as she helped Grams wash the dishes.

"Oh, yes. Don't fool around with that boy... he's trouble. That's for both of you, okay?" Grams warned with serious. I just nodded with Jen not understanding a single word out of her mouth. Jen just told us they were nice... and Grams is saying they aren't. Wow.

"Okay. Well, you don't mind if I go out and explore the town, do you?" I asked Grams.

"Well, no, Kelly. Of course not. Be back before dinner time." She answered. I took that answer with me and began leaving the house and walking around Capeside. It was a little different than I expected but in such a good way.

It was cute to say the least. Boring but cute. Everything was compact and simple. Unlike, New York which just made you crazy. Everything moved around and everything was complicated. I'm sure this town would do me some good.

Video Store?

It wouldn't hurt to look would it? I mean late night movies were my thing after all. I walked in the store making the bell chime... and began scanning the rows of movies. I was in the mood for comedy... maybe potentially a rom-com. But I didn't quite know. Maybe something to lighten my life up for an hour?

The Outsiders? Seems good to me. I looked at the back of the video as I walked to the counter. Not even looking up to see who was there. I just stared intently thinking it was just some old person on their working shift.

And when I looked up. I was met with two boys. Two gorgeous boys... one who was particularly beautiful. Short brown hair... the other with blonde. I swallowed hard at the sight of them and shakily handed them the movie.

"Hi." The brown haired one chocked out seeming to be at a loss for words just like I was. Come on, say something Kelly!

"Hi." I said back as he handed me the movie back, "when's it due back?" I asked him still keeping eye contact.

"Whenever you want it to be." He said making me retract with a bit of confusion. Just then his friend bumped his side making him fall out of his trance.

"I- I mean 48 hours." I said trying to cover up his obviously distract. I nodded carefully still feeling this weird feeling inside of me when I looked at him. Should I leave? I couldn't even move barely.

"I don't think I've seen you around here. I'm Dawson Leery." He broke me out of my trance. My eyes shifted to him. Leery?

"Dawson Leery. I think my sister met you today? Jen?" I tried to spark up remembrance in him. He smiled brightly at me and nodded.

"Yeah. You two moved in next door right?" Dawson asked me and I nodded in response.

"Yeah, we did. It was nice meeting you, Dawson. Jen spook fondly of you." I said to him with a smirk. Jen definitely liked him I could tell. And the littlest bit of pink that was visible on his cheeks told me he liked her too.

"Did she? Well, it was nice meeting you and Jen..." he paused not knowing my name.

"Kelly. Kelly Lindley." I said shaking his hand softly.

"Kelly, this goober right here is Pacey. He can talk I assure you." Dawson said joking with Pacey. He gave him a look of annoyance and a look that definitely said "shut up".

"Pacey Witter." He said to me still looking a bit shocked? I didn't know how to describe it but I could only imagine I looked the same way.

"Kelly."

"I hope I'll see you again?" Dawson asked me as I walked for the door. I nodded at him with a smile as I pushed the door open.

"See you around, babe." I heard Pacey say. My heart stopped beating for second there... I just smiled like a dork and continued walking away down the street. Oh, god, I'm doing it again.
